NEW! chazdillon case thread

Bump for justice.

Same here. On June 3rd, he told me that he will send me the pics shortly and it almost finish. If I don't get any info in this couple days, I would say we are on the same boat.

Wilson

I did some research today and I think that I got all the info that anyone would need. I will be posting all of his info at the end of the week unless i get my refund by Sunday night. Good luck to everyone and PM me if anyone needs info or help.

After another round of emails, I received an email yesterday from Chaz with a USPS tracking number that he says is my refund check. I will post here if/when received.

I have received 2 cases, one a 1x2 that I bought when someone backed out of the original sale, it is simple and nice, I just use it to store a cue with. It is a tube case. The other, my main case I received and had to take it to get it finished the way I wanted, cost an additional $100 to do that. The case is fine now, no issues, I guess it is just the frustation that everyone had to put up with that doesn't make you ever want to go with a new, just getting started casemaker. It is just so easy to order a JB, Whitten, or Justice and you know that you will get what you ordered and when you are promised. In the end the old saying "if it sounds too good to be true, it probably isn't" is true. We all thought we were getting a great case for half the price, at least I did. Good luck to everyone who is waiting, hopefully your frustation will be over soon. Sounds like Chaz is trying to do the right thing. Tom

C'mon

If nobody threatend legal action he wouldn't be doing anything ,forget about the right thing. He has done whats good for him after all this time and others are still waiting.People who think that he's doing the right thing will see this guy on the forum down the road selling cases again. Most people that see the light are the ones that never had it on in the first place.Bad business is just bad business!Goodluck to all that are still waiting.

I hope your case is good as time passes. I bought one used and now I know why it was used. It was basically an ok case, but then the leather loosened, I realized the strap is too short to be really useful and it seems lumpy for lack of a better term. Not to mention that the lid handle us unusable to me as picking it up by that causes the case to fall on the ground and cues fall out. I got lucky when it happened, but as soon as possible, it will be on Ebay or. . . .I don't know.

That is why I took it to a leather guy first, he reinforced the bottom, straps, and top handle, and put a clasp on it. I know what you mean about lasting a long time. So far so good, but it is not the quality I could have gotten from a JB,Whitten, and Justis, however, I did end up spending almost the same amount of money and had a lot of frustration for 6-8 months. Believe me, I feel your pain, I went thru it, and I only live about 20 minutes from him. I sure hope everyone gets their money back. We have all learned a lesson here. Tom

I just received a refund check from Chaz. It was a regular check, not a money order or certified check, so I won't know for a couple of weeks if it will clear. I can only hope that Chaz is smart enough not to add bad check writing to his other potential legal problems right now. What a disappointing and frustrating experience this was! I suppose I will have learned a lesson from all of this, but am not yet sure exactly what it is--sometimes you have to have faith in people, even if you risk getting burned.

I wish a speedy resolution to all the rest of you who are still owed something by Chaz Dillon. Caveat emptor to everyone else.

Wow isnt this a blast from the past!! I was really hoping that some cases or money was flowing by now, but I can see that not much has changed on that front. I hope that this will get worked out without legal action, but it doesnt look good for the home team. I had to send me case to a first class case maker to fix the issues with my case, but at least I finally got it back like after a year of the headache. I think chaz deep down is a good guy with great potential, he is just bad at the business end of this. Instead of maning up and admitting when he has mad a mistake, he wishes the problems away. We all know how far that will get us. Good luck everyone.

contact info

hey folks, it's been a year and a half and i had tried to contact chaz for a refund but have received no reply. the only contact i've had from him in the last year has been a email from some charles guy with a bs line that the case would be done in two weeks, but that was in march. i've had enough.

i've been pretty patient and not very vocal, heck i'm an idiot for giving chaz an extra hundred for feeling guilty about getting such a good deal for a custom case. I don't know what I can do legally as I live in Canada, i had paid for it with my visa through paypal, that's probably a start, but if someone has up to date contact info, I would appreciate it if they could forward it to me.

I hope i get my money back, i don't believe in karma, but I know that skeletons in the closet have a tendency to come out sooner or later, one way or another. or maybe during the twilight of his life will chaz regret wronging so many as there would be no time left for reparations. i'm sure we at az aren't the only ones. people like him seem to run out of places to move to. i could be wrong for making these comments, but i feel that i really have to rant to people that give a damn.

thanks in advance to my fellow azer's

This is truly amazing! I think I'm going to make a sample or 2 of something. Post it on here for orders, make another 1 or 2, then just rake in the cash. I wonder if he even has a list of what he owes to who.

I'm really sorry to hear this. It's truly a shame that so many people are still paying the price for someone else's negligence and poor decision-making.

Start with Paypal. From there, I would assume your local authorities could get in touch with Chaz's local authorities. Go through the proper chain of command and make sure you have a nice paper trail.

It 's a pain in the a$$, but hopefully will get the ball moving in the right direction.

Good luck and keep us posted.

PM sent with some contact info and a suggestion.

If there are enough people who have been taken on a case, sooner ot later one of them will be in his hometown or traveling close and should just go to his shop, house what have you and get their money back in person. Maybe there is some extreme situation as to why no one can be contacted or refunded but even if he was unable to do so, surely someone he know's could get on here and post for him. Cuemaker's, case maker's or anyone in general who continuously rip people off should be delt with in the same manner. As long as people are allowed to take advantage of other's it will continue but the first time someone knock's on their door and say's we are going to have a problem unless I get my money back or what ever they purchased, things will change and ultimately be an example to the rest of the shady character's out there.

Good luck to anyone who is dealing with a situation like this.

Excellent post.

In my neck of the woods, if this were to happen, people wouldn't be as "diplomatic."
