No disrespect ladies!!

Little known bit of trivia on this subject...

Mary Mastrantonio was not the girl originally cast to play Carmen in TCOM. Gina Mastrogiacomo was originally cast but had to be replaced

I heard nobody could pronounce "Mastrogiacomo" so they had to go with another actress with a name that was easy to say...

I would say that this should have been started in the NPR forums, but it seems the main forum has gone to hell, so it don't really matter much anymore....so let's see if this thread gets derailed now that I've posted in it:eek:

Piper

She was also in an episode of Frasier - she played the crazy mom of a psychologist Frazier brought in for a new show. As said before she really put on a lot of weight late in life - but I could always recognize the voice.

Another pic of Piper many may have not seen.

Sorry to break this to you, Joe, but it is a sure sign of being over the hill when you are more interested in the prospect of a good meal than sex.

Over the hill is when Happy Hour is a Nap...and getting lucky is taking a good crap

Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio is a childhood family friend. She grew up in Chicago. When I was a teenager our families would babysit for each other. She is about 56 years old now, born 1958. She had 5 sisters and they were all beautiful. I would babysit for her and her younger sisters and her older sisters would have babysat for me and my siblings. I would love to contact her and find out if she has any memorabilia left from TCOM. I'm just not sure she would remember my family. Her father was only known as Blubber, he was a big man and we always wondered what he did for a living. Probably better we didn't know. All of her sisters married lawyers, doctors and such. Last time I saw Blubber was at my mother's funeral. I think Mary lives in England now. Just a little info to share.
