first off all the guys nominated are awesome so im not going to say im better than them or anything like that.
but the humble ill do my best polite thing makes people think i dont have the killer drive or heart or whatever.
ive won over 35 tourneys in all games in my career, ran in the 400s twice,won way more than ive lost gambling with the best in the world playing even etc.
frankly if push comes to shove i might be the best shotmaker with as high a gear as anybody on the team .
so all the begging please pick me stuff, im done with it. maybe after the mosconi is over anybody from team europe can play me all around.
im going to play my heart out because i want it and am not afraid to come with the tough shot when the game is on the line.
i love the usa and its time we play hard and get the cup back.we need to put the best players on the team.i know i can handle the pressure and cant wait to be turned loose to prove it.

p.s. i was conflicted about talking this boldly as its out of character for me.
frankly to win the mosconi cup is going to take some boldness and like i said no more mr nice guy.from here on out im going to let my cue do the talking if given the chance.

I think you've got it wrong Roy. It should read 11 to 4 which stands for how many years the USA as won the cup (11) to Europe (4). You better keep winning, you have a long way to go to catch up.:smile:

I knew you got plenty of heart back in the 2000 World 14.1 Championship when you were playing Mike Sigel. Some of the incredible shots you took had a very high difficulty and risk factor, but you shot away! And your U.S. Open win cemented the fact that you're the real deal.

I don't know what the outcome will be this year, but I hope you take this same attitude into next year and win one of the automatic bids. Good luck.
 
When seeing the competition, I wasn't hard for me to figure out that you were my pick. I wish you the best of luck. One thing for sure, if you don't get selected, it can be an incentive to get after it in the box to prove you are the man.

John contributes more often to this forum than the other picks so he should be everyones first choice.

I do find it a bit funny to see how bad some players want to get on this team, and wonder if they would really be that interested if it didn't pay 20 grand for being part of the winning team.

When you said you "Can't wait to be turned loose to prove it", it reminded me of 9/11 when Bush said "We will find you, and we will hunt you down"
