i once saw a cue with that joint and the guy swore it was a balabushka, and the hokey big hole in the steel joint scared me,i thought it was not a balabushka but a highly knowledgable fella checked it out and bought the cue for one,

my guess is Balabushka, wait its just a guess not an identification.if it were not for this experience, lasting 2 years,i would guess Paradise or Rambo,or even Palmer

either way i wish you the best,if you want to send it here i will have the number 1 balabushka expert and owner look at it

New Jersey Cue

This is just a wild guess.
The butt cap looks similar to an old Gandy cue I have made when Ricco was there.
It also has MOP dots in the forearm.

Could be Fedunka or some other Paradise-esque/Paradise shop cue. Buttcap taper looks a little different than what I remember seeing.

Here's an old Fedunka of mine with a similar joint. Note the 'dot' on the side of the joint collar. If I remember correctly, Paul Rubino told me it had something to do with how Fedunka and Paradise secured the pin. Heck, you probably know more about this stuff than I do. Hehe. Sorry. I know its not much help.

Oh, and sorry the second picture is so out of focus. But at least you can see the shafts and joint are similar.

Simple, Rich cue from S Beach Fl, been in his shop 10 times, super nice guy, and loved to talk. He made cues that resembled Paradise cues. My money is on that.

PS: There is not a cue maker alive that could turn wood like him, period. RIP

Throw it up on e-bay as an unknown and let the mystery cue identifier tell you what it is. The Dudley doo right (doofus) of the internet...

JV (----of course his success rate is under 30%

REALLY, A BUSHKA WITH HOUSE CUE POINTS, AND THIS STYLE BUTT, AND BUTT SCREW?

tribute!

i'm thinkin' it's a george balabushka "tribute to frank paradise" cue!?
small chance i could be wrong though . . .

I personally think the cue is a Rich Cue made by the Rich Cue Company from New York. The flat nosed 5 1/6-14 pin and the shaft pilot give it away for me personally.

The cue apparently dates from the 1960's and not many cue makers were using those pins or joint design outside of Brunswick or Rich.

Did you really pick this up at a yard sale ??

I've got to get out more

YEP......

I HAD A HUNCH IT WAS A PARADISE, CONSIDERING HOW SIMILAR THE JOINT IS TO ANOTHER PARADISE THAT I HAVE, BUT I'M NOW LEANING TOWARDS IT BEING A KARL MEYER.

THE MATERIALS ARE DIFFERENT, BUT THE SETUP IS VERY VERY SIMILAR. HERE ARE PICS COMPARING THE SCREWS......

PARADISE......
