I got messed up..........

Unless you can't stand up straight, you don't see a chiropractor , especially one you haven't used before , before a big tourney. Can anybody else see what's coming next?

I was just icing my shoulder but my whole arm was getting real tired and weak.
I was seeing a chiro in Indy everyday. At first I couldn't even move my head back and forth but you can play pool all the time looking forward.
The whole arm thing got worse.
If i just rub my wrist it feels like I have electricity going to my knuckles.
Plus it feel like I have a knife stuck in my hand when I bend my hand down from my wrist.
I figured out about 2 weeks ago that I can ice my hand, wrist, arm on both sides, shoulder all the way around and my neck twice a day and I can play pool pretty comfortable. There are so many muscles involved with all this that I don't know which ones were causing the most trouble but the chiro said this was all coming from c6 in the neck.
I got an appointment set up next week to see a specialist and see if the problem can be fixed.
I go to the chiro so i can sleep. It helps my neck not keep me awake from pain when I move. I wake up sometimes and can't even feel either of my hands.
This has been going on since my car accident in peoria, I think May 4th. Estimated speed that I was hit was about 35 to 40 with A Jeep Unlimited. the biggest one that they make.
It's been really hard for me to get playing as good as I am right now because the practice is very physically demanding from my injuries.
Anyone that wants to try getting rear ended like this to see how they feel, I don't recommend it.
My goal out here is to help players and teach. I can do that without having to play much.
I practiced about 15 hours a week for the last 2 weeks to get kind of ready for this tourny. I'm having fun and if I get beat I get beat. If I win I win.
I consider everytime I play and win a match or win any tourny it's like a miracle.
I played today and I had a blast here at the US Open. The times are set up so you play one match per day for 3 days if you stay on the winners side. This is right up my alley. I can eat right, ice up and be rested to give it all I got.
I missed 2 shots in my match today and I scratched twice. All after I was ahead 9-0.
I felt I played about as good as I could for me.
The format really helps me until we start playing 3 matches a day. Then it gets kind of tough. But it is what it is and you just have to do the best you can do.
it's good to see a few players that are as old if not older than me playing in the Open.
The good news is I can teach anyone how to play better pool as long as I can stand up.
After the open I don't know how much pool I will be playing. One doctor told my I need to put the arm in a sling for 2 weeks. Need to rest it real good.
I'm getting pretty tired of hurting and not taking pain meds. But if i take pills the game and life would not be so fun.
I'm 60 years old and having the time of my life.
