Paul Fanelli has passed away

Very depressed hearing of Paul's passing, was just with him the other day, a good friend and a good man.
I will forever miss our One-Pocket battles and his presence at our weekly Chicago game, he would come into the poolroom with a new joke for us each week. The pool world has lost another extraordinary husband/father/friend/cuemaker/poolplayer.
Rest in Peace my friend, you will be sorely missed by many!

RIP Paul

We've definitely lost another great in Paul Fanelli.
I hope other Fanelli cue owners will follow Watchez' lead and post photos of his cues to celebrate his career.
Sorry for your loss, Joe. I've always enjoyed your posts about "up and coming" projects and newly completed cues.

Another very sad loss. My condolences to the Fanelli family.

What a loss to the billiard community. This has been a difficult year for the cue sports world.

He was an amazing craftsman, and I'm sure a wonderful person.

JV, I am sorry for the loss of your friend:frown: He will be greatly missed by the entire cue collecting and cue making community, this news truly makes me sad. His contributions and unique designs have added so much to the entire custom cue making world, he will always be remembered as the King of the Butterfly Splice, and it will be very hard to match his attention to detail.

I personally wish his family well during this time, and I will pray them.

Respectfully:frown:

Very sorry for your loss Joe. He will always be a legend and respected for his character and amazing craftsmanship. Prayers and thoughts go out to all his friends and family.

I never had the pleasure to meet him, but i saw some of his cues and as a collector i would say that he was the one and only Grandmaster of Butterflys. Nobody can do them like he did. I´m sad that he passed and i wish his family everything they need to stand the situation.

Very sad news, I admire his great attention to detail and intricate butterfly splices.
My condolences to his family and friends.

Paul was truely one the the good guys, and it was my pleasure to have known him. I had the honor of being in his shop, and seeing the true genius of his craft. Paul's beautiful cues will carry his legacy for a long time to come.
Paul will be sorely missed.
