Hi everyone,
Names terriel I ordered three cues just recently from Marshall and sent him down payment and when it was cashed he was suppose to call me Thursday and or Friday to do a meet and greet but when I called and called he wouldn't pick the phone up. Here I am getting mad I decided to find his address and go to his house. When I got there I was shocked to find out that he was in the hospital since Thursday night coming back from an 2 day trip to the Philppines (this was on the 19th) and has been in and out for the last three days. He has dengue fever and things seems to be in the red still for him. I don't know if he'll---well I don't want to say it I just wanted everyone to know about his condition. And the worst thing is he is trying to get things in order for his customers incase something happens. This is sad because I really like his work and is a great kid. I hope people could support him and hope for a recovery.
 
I hope he didn't drink the water there. You MUST drink only bottled water if you visit the PI! I cannot emphasize this enough. The tap water has not been purified!
 
Thanks for the information. I was wondering why I didn't see him posting for the last few days. I personally as all who know him really hope he gets back on his feet and recovers very soon. For anyone that doesn't know he's a stay at home Dad first, a very talented cue maker /artist second and overall a really nice guy. Speaks his mind and livens things up a bit on AZ when he does.

Mine and my families prayers are with Marshall and his family.

I just talked to marshalls father and he told me that even with his illness right now he is still trying to make it look like he has nothing wrong with him he is in pain though. But it seems like he doesn't want to go and is fighting hard. I mean wow. Oh by the way I tried to get in touch with a guy named - Cory in dc - can someone get in touch with him and tell him what's happening to Marshall I think he also got a cue from him but it's sitting at his house and cann't seem to mail it for him. His father won't let me help in is matter cann't blame him though that cues is sweet. Well I will be bringing the computer for him to use on Tuesday thanks for all the support you have given him. I know it will cheer him up!

I'm no Doctor but as I understand it there are two types of Dengue Fever and most people do recover fully. The worse of the two is 'haemorrhagic' lets hope Marshall has the lesser of the two.

To anyone travelling to these parts of the World please heed Jay's words, never drink the Tap Water. If you are travelling abroad always visit the State Dept & CDC Websites for updated information. The CDC says about the Phillipines "Drink only bottled or boiled water, or carbonated (bubbly) drinks in cans or bottles. Avoid tap water, fountain drinks, and ice cubes". The last point about ice cubes is something many people forget about. This is a truly spectacular part of the World to visit and the people are great, but better to be safe than sorry everytime.
 
I just got back from the Philippines. I was there for two weeks but I was outside of Manila and was at a city where tap water is considered one of the best in the world ( Davao City ).
I did not get sick . Not even stomach flu.
Dengue is easily caught if you are active outside where there are mosquitos.

Dengue is a nasty fever. I hope Piercy shakes it out soon.
 
Thanks for the updates Anthony - we are pulling for Marshall and look forward to hearing from him. He is young and strong. Although it's a serious disease, I'm confident he will be back and fairly soon too.

Wow, that's a bummer. Dengue Fever - it even sounds nasty. I'm very hopeful he will come through this but it sure is unfortunate he even has to go through it.

I have not been on here in awhile myself due to recovering from a car accident, and would like to take time to say....Marshall ...we are praying for you. Hope you get well soon.

I truly hope Marshall pulls through...I will keep him in my prayers...

Thanks, I did hear from Anthony Terriel. So I'm not worried about my cue right now, which I think is actually done. I'm just hoping everything turns out well for Marshall and his family.

Yeah, you're right if you're an American, but he's a Filipino from what I remember reading. They are able to drink the water because they've built up immunities to the bacteria in the P.I.. Dengue fever is most often spread from mosquito bites and everyone is susceptible to it. My Ex's daughter has a bad case and recovered. I believe that's what got Bustemantes baby daughter.
 
Dengue is now spreading due to rainy season here in my country. Mosquitos, a dengue carrier, are fast increasing in numbers due to some waters that was not properly disposed and stack at small places.

He does it's in a USPS box he said it has to transferred in another box due to it being returned to him once or something to that nature.
