Placement Pool Challenge (PPC 100)

Fels had w.p.'s- whenever possible 😉

I didn't realize there are stipulations on playing the shots a certain way...like 3 rails to position.

Thanks.

Only on one layout out of 18.

That's right. Only Layout 14 has an extra stipulation. You must go 3 rails (any 3 rails) to the 7 and the 9. That's how most good players would play it anyway, but it adds a little extra challenge to intermediate and lower players.

Special guest appearance by Chris “America’s Sweetheart” Robinson. He was giving a lesson on the adjacent table.
For anyone who doesn't know, Chris Robinson is hilarious. Super funny, cool guy. Maybe he's just nice to me because I play him even, but whatever...

Sounds good. I look forward to seeing where you ran into trouble. I find it interesting to see which layouts and shots cause the most problems for different people.
Here is my attempt. Shot a 68 on a 7 foot Valley with 4 inch pockets. I made several positional errors. Hope to crack 70 next time:

Nice job. Thank you for participating. I think a 70+ score (or maybe even 80+ if you take your time and focus a little more) is in your near future. Good luck!

FYI, I've added your entry to the YouTube video description.

I did the first 7 or 8 layouts a couple times just to familiarize myself with them. I’ve been working 65 hrs a week for a year now so it’s hard to find time to play much. When I do have time I usually don’t have the desire to put forth the effort to put up a good score. I might however record one just to get in the drawing.

I'd practice more often if I had someone set up the balls for me:D. After a few attempts, I just don't feel like it anymore.

I enjoy watching the other videos submitted. It’s comforting seeing some of these really strong players make the same mistakes I am. In my head, everyone else is running out super clean. Even the entrant who posted the 100 had to shoot a jump shot!

Do it when you can. Any scored (regardless of how low) gets you a free entry into the lottery draw.

After more than a few attempts, you eventually memorize most of the early patterns. I have the first 12 memorized and I place the balls very quickly without even thinking. I also think doing the same run-out patterns over and over is educational. I've learned a lot about my game and certain types of shots during the practice.

I recognize that name. He was the young man I sniped the RDS challenge from a while back.

He appears to be a very straight shooter from the challenge video I watched. He must also really enjoy measuring himself against your challenges.
562 preliminary fargo rating...
