Is there a list of players that will be playing in the Mezz tournament at Hardtimes on May 7-8? Johnnyt

Hi Johnnyt,

Below is a partial list from Tablemechanic/Steve from a thread in the Tourny Announcement Section:

http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=181967

This is the first time they have run the event. If we get 96 players there should be $17,000 in money.

So far we have,
Mika Immonen
Oscar Dominguez
Ernesto Dominguez
Dave Hemmah
Corey Harper
Steve Leistikow
Ken Thomason
Morro Paez
Brendan Crockett
Louie Ulrich
Charlie Williams
Ben Pham
Manny Chau

and a lot more players are saying they are going to play. I will update this when I get more information.

Steve

In addition, when I spoke to him yesterday he threw out these names as well but not confirmed:

Darren Appleton
Marcus Chamat
Roberto Gomez
Stevie Moore

These are a few I remember off the top of my head. He went on to state that there were about 40 - 50 or so already signed up and only about 15-20 of which were locals.

I wouldn't be surprised if more of the Filipinos play this, since they are going to the States anyway to play World Pool Masters etc

I'll bet there will 3 or 4 of the Filipinos Roy. Waiting to see if some of the top women that will be there around that time enter the Mezz event too. I would like to see more of the top ones play in these kind of events. Like Ga Young Kim, Jasmin, Cheri Chang, Kelly & Allison Fisher to name a few that I'd like to see in the Mezz. Johnnyt

Because of the two big events in Vegas I would expect strong fields in both this and the Seminole at Hollywood Billiards Memorial weekend.

Steve, it's Marcus Chamat, not Chamant, and who the heck is GEORGE Pagulayan? Any relation to Alex?

Thanks Jay, that is one I should know.

As far as George goes, I have no idea. I was given his name from someone who put him in.

Steve

Gotta love Bill Dunsmore (Chicken Man). Must be 75 years old still traveling all over the country to play in tournaments. A very nice guy who clearly loves this game!

I was expecting to see Ramin on there and there he is. Thanks for posting the list, Steve.

I'm still contemplating. Steve, my break is so poor for ten ball, can I assign myself a designated breaker?

The "old" guy

Give the "old" man some slack. I may look 75 but I'm "only" 69. By the way.. I left Florida Mon. noon with my 5th wheel and I'm now in Arizona (Wed. evening).

I didn't see Tony Robles, Rob Seza. Hill Bill, No big name Pino's..

What is a Pino ?

If it is a Pinoy. Then I guess you missed Efren and Lee Van on the list. Busty is in Canada that weekend or he would probably have been in.

And why would Robles play an LA event?

I have to say that post confused the hell out of me.
