Pool Wars by Jay Helfert

In my next pool book, I'm doing all this stuff; Pictures (imagine all the photos of guys holding money you've ever seen), Pop ups (exclusively for jump shots) and of course Scratch 'n sniff (think of pool players who have been in an all day and all night session).

Sounds like a winner to me.

Just what pool needs a little Eau de Chohan.

Jay looking forward to the books glad to hear they are in transit to you. Now you have to sign and number a 500 of them which I know is a real job, where I used to work would send out a couple of thousand Christmas cards every year and I signed them all, talk about a job.

My goal is to process (sign, seal and mail) 100 copies a day for four days to get caught up. After that it will be smooth sailing.

I have to know you then. I played all those guys, several times. All good players, with Brian being far and away the best. I played Freddie and Jerry even (they were usually partners) and Brian gave me the seven ball in 9-Ball and 9-7 in One Pocket. I was overall losers against that crew.

POOL WARS IS HERE!! They came in today. It was like Christmas opening that first box. I have one in my hands right now. It's a heavy little sucker, weighs in over 10 oz. Using good quality paper inside and on the cover account for a little more weight. My sample book (a poker book) that was about the same size only weighed 9 oz.

Now the fun (and hard work) begins. I will do my first mailing tomorrow. I'll try to get all the early orders that came in February out tomorrow. I may not be online too much for a few days until I get caught up. If you ordered a copy of Pool Wars, it's a coming!

Yes sirrrrrrrrr (Ken Venturi-ish)!!! Jay gave birth! To quint-C-tuplets!

I'm hoping it gets to me so I can read it on my flight to LA this Wednesday! Or better yet, Jay, save the postage. Here's the deal.

I'll play ya for it someday during my 1 week stay, and we'll put the tab on the light. (some might think that's a cheap set, but they'd be wrong! lol)

Glad it came in Jay - sounds like you're quite pleased your baby came out with 10 t-oz!

P.S. I don't know if you'll learn much from this little tome, other than I did my share of gambling in my formative years. And even got out with the dough a few times.

Hmmmm...I didn't know it was a work of fiction, but I'm still looking forward to reading it Jay!

Your book was in the first batch of 50 that I mailed out today. We can still play though.
