Got copy 36 (and 37) Monday and read it that night. Fantastic read. Jay, you've had an incredibly interesting life in the pool world. Count me jealous.

Love the stories, love the pictures. I laughed loudest at your "assistant directing" experience. Hollywood is cruel isn't it?!?:angry::(:grin:

Thanks for writing this. I think it would make a nice movie. Have you talked it over with Warren yet?:wink:

Wouldn't you know it. I think mine landed yesterday and I'm 400 miles away. Might have to cut this trip short.

Work just continues to eat into my office time. :angry:
 
Got up at 5.30am today and read mine.

I can't find the special features, deleted scenes or Director's Cut version. I can't even find the menu. WTF?!
 
The book cover shouts out to me, "READ ME" but I'm not going to read my copy right now. I'm going to save it for reading on the plane ride to my next tournament. Instead of buying one of those expensive magazines at the airport, I'll just read my POOL WARS book by Jay Helfert. My second copy o Jay's book will go on sale shortly after Jay sells out his first production run. Starting Bid will be rather high FWIW. :indecisive:

I know Jay added some additional stories after I reviewed the first draft so it will be exciting to read the new material. Somehow, I managed to take peek at the foreword. :smilewinkgrin:

Just got my copy in the mail today! I was flattered by the inscription from Jay proclaiming his undying love for me. Luckily I have his address now so I can stalk, er, um, visit him at Po Box 1883.

Seriously, though, after reading Jay's welcome (especially that last paragraph), I haven't been this excited to read a book since Ben Mezrich's Bringing Down The House!
 
I got my copy yesterday too. I just wanted to thank Jay for leaving out the story of me beating Efren even at one-pocket. That would've just killed my action.

On the other hand, the fact that Jay left that story out is pretty strong evidence that I did beat Efren even at one-pocket, so now when people doubt my story I'll just let them read your book and see for themselves.

Got my copy today! I have a 3 1/2 hour ride to a tournament this weekend and I know what I'll be doing to keep awake!
