Joel Hercek does it the same way on Hoppe style cues... I think the Ivory is turned down below the Ring and a Black Phenolic Sleeve over it nothing is added around the weight bolt...

I took these pics in a hurry last night and I will get better ones for everyone this weekend. The first cue is cocobolo that Murray made for me in 2003 and is my daily player. The set that I have pictured was made for a friend of mine in 2003 as well. I purchased it from him shortly after he got them for Murray and now another good friend owns them. It is the only matched set that I know of from Tucker. The set is a merry widow made from cocobolo with a matching jump butt as well as a full splice cocobolo sneaky break cue. 1 laminated shaft and 3 regular shafts. The set is absolutely insane!

I've had one less than stellar transaction in my cue making history and that is one too many. I'm sure you will be happy with the wood selection.
