Predator 10 Ball tour stop - Spain

Hey guys...the stream will be up tomorrow. Matches start at 10am over here, 3AM Central Standard time. We will have a press release out in a few hours about the first day and all the flight cancellations, etc.
As for Brendan...I met him last year at the U.S. Open and that was his first real tournament to play in. I think what most people don't realize is that he has only been playing a short amount of time. He plays at an incredible level for the length of time he has been playing and I think his skill level will increase a great deal in the next few years. How many top players that started playing young had the opportunity to play against the world's best players like Brendan is doing? That experience is invaluable and I commend him for continuting to step up and play in this level of events.

I was in Palermo last year - not a pool table in sight but the Giro d'Italia bicycle race was in town. This is like the superbowl. The traffic was unreal - I had to rent a car to drive to Agrigento and Taormina and had to walk all over Palmero because the streets were closed off.
I guarantee you his English is better than my Italian.

no, here the the cycling isn't that followed, that was an exception... There are a lot of pool tables by the way. We have one pool room where there are 35 pool tables and other rooms where there are atleast 10 tables.. Here pool isn't that followed, snooker is more regarded.

Hmmm, Christine de la Garza just posted on facebook that they are setting up tables inside in the hotel / conference center and continue there. Lets hope they can finish the tournament. Shot clock / shorter races / whatever it takes.

OK, I just posted a new story on this event on the front page. Basically, they are moving the event to a new location and will play down to the final 16. Those players get an all-expense paid trip to Rio for the next Predator event and they will finish this tournament there. At least, that is what I am being told by players who are there.
I have a few friends playing in the tour and they told me that the even will resume, now.
This actually shows some really poor organization on the Spanish side.
Not to brag about what happened in Portugal that went flawless but man they knew in advance of the bad weather, and what blows my mind is the venue chosen for this Predator stop, makes no sense what so ever.

he poolyear has started again with the 2nd Predator tour stop in Lloret de Mar, Spain. We arrived here on Wednesday and had the players meeting in the evening. We found out the tournament location would be a large tent, that would accomodate 30 9foot tables (amateur event included).
Today everything kicked off, but the weather would prove to cause huge problems. It was raining the entire day and there were drops of water coming through the tent roof onto multiple tables. They had to close down around 6 tables and on top of that, the temperature was very low ! Tony Crosby was even wearing Ski gloves when he was in his seat! The humidity could not be stopped with the two heat cannons that were placed, water was even coming through the carpet so around 16:00 they decided to postpone all the matches to the Friday
(extra info) They had a players meeting on Friday were they told the players the moved the tournament to the hotel with 8 tables. They will play the group stages till last 16 who will be invited for the next stop.!

OK, I will paint a picture for you. You called Brendan a "daddy's boy". Name calling = insult. This has nothing to do with his skill. This, I assume, because he attends an excellent shool and has his family's support.
You know little about him but continue to talk negatively. Now your negative reputation matches your attitude.

Can you update us on what's happening when you get a chance? Any match results would be appreciated. (Hope you make the final 16 so I can help plan a Brazil trip for you).
We heard that the pool tables are moved to the hotel and they plan on playing to the final 16, with the 16 being on a paid trip to Brazil.
