Professionals that are great for the sport

I know every professional is good for our sport in some way, but who do you think are a few of, lets say top 3, best representatives for our sport, and why do you think so?

Ralf Souquet is my first pick. He always dresses well, easy to talk to, never says a bad word, always looks focused and determined.

Johnny Archer is another pick. Johnny is the squeaky-clean family man and always dresses great and plays well.

Efren: Extremley interesting to watch, dresses well, giggles and smiles and makes humourous noises and gestures while he is playing.

John Schmidt is a great player and always a crowd pleaser. Well dressed and has a great image.

Mike Tyson(boxing)
Micheal Vick(football)
Jose Conseco(baseball)
:yikes: :yikes: :yikes: :yikes: :yikes: :yikes: :yikes: :yikes: :yikes: :yikes:

Oh sorry,OUR sport......

Jeanette Lee, Tony Robles, John S., and many more. We all knock the pros at some point, but there are a lot that give back to the game in many ways. Johnnyt

Besides all the players already mentioned, I think Alex is great for the sport. Big personality, funny, and huge heart. Oh, he plays pretty good too!

My first pick as well. Probably the most professional sports man the game has seen, plus he is also a outstanding player.

I vote

Johnny Archer
Rodney Morris
Jenette Lee

John Schmidt is another one to add along with
Allison Fisher.

John has been excellent interacting with the fans and audiences when I have seen him.

In my opinion, Jeanette Lee has been better for pool than any player of the last twenty years. She has brought positive attention to the game in so many ways I've lost count. Ewa Laurance also gets very high marks.

Of the men, I'll go with Souquet, for being the gold standard in demeanor and sportsmanship, the Irving Crane of this generation.

thanks

honestly i love being thought of as a great player its very flattering.im no saint i wear my emotions on my sleeve and try be a good loser etc. to be one of the guys that you all say are good for the sport means alot to me and im proud of my rep as being someone who tries to treat people like i want to be treated ,dress right, lose right, win right ,do what i say ill do etc..in closing thanks everyone and believe me there is alot of good guys on tour .they might not be as approachable as me but once you get to know them most of them are good guys.

I agree with everyone who has posted so far but I think that Shane Van Boening is a great ambassador for our sport. Along with of course my buddy John Schmidt whom I got my very own OB1 cue from at Valley Forge this year.

In my opinion if you want to know a player who is good for the sport see the above poster. Not only does John Schmidt seem like a really good guy that cares about the fans and the sport he plays great and important to me he brings straight pool to the forefront. Thanks for hanging around on the forums too John despite some knuckleheads here and there.

I've seen JS act like a pro with my own eyes. A few years back as an unknow he came to Vancouver and played in a local tourney.

To make a long story in the A-side final he runs into a local player (Mike Vidas (very strong)) who has everything working for him. Ball on the break...crazy run outs...good rubs and JS lose something like 7-1. He smiles and says nice match Mike.

Well me comes back to play Mike again in the final and just ripped through the racks to win I think 9-2? Perfect pool. Smiles and says good match. Just like when he lost the previous set.

We all know him now.

Youre one of the greats, and you are doing a lot for the sport. Thank you.

One of the nicest people you will ever meet in pool is Louis Ulrich. Class act all the way, a really good guy to talk with, shoot with, and learn from.

Also...
Allen Hopkins
Tony Crosby
Tony Robles
Rodney Morris
John Schmidt
Ralf Souquet
Luc Salvas
Thorsten Hohmann
Rodney Morris
Danny Harriman
Tommy Kennedy

and last but definitely not least -
one of my favorite people in the world, Senor T.F. Whittington.

I would definitely vote for Ralf Souquet, then Thorsten Hohmann.

I have never met Allison Fisher, but I guess she belongs up there too.

But no doubt, Ralf Souquet is the winner here!!!

Gabe 'Big Country' Owen is a class guy.

That guy from South Dakota, SVB, ain't bad either and has been great for the excitement of pool.
