Russ.....

I've never owned/played with any of these four... but if I had a "want" list they would be in this order:

1. Prewitt
2. Nitti
3. Blackcreek
4. Ariel Carmeli

Yep

Same order for me...

Thanks for the replies. I value your opinions. Many of the posters on this site are very knowledgable and your input is appreciated. I am going to save this thread to my favorites.

Prewitt
Blackcreek
Nitti
Carmelli

Just My 2 Cents

I RATED BASED ON BUILD QUALITY, COLLECTIBILITY, AND LONG TERM VALUE(MY OPINION OF VALUE)

Never hit with any of the four, but if I had to rate, I would go exactly with Fast-n-loose. This is just by what I've read here, and my opinion only.

im all about the carmelis. granted i've never tried a prewitt or a nitti but people say nittis are somewhat soft so i doubt i'd like it at all. the carmeli is perfect for me cuz its so stiff.

i've tried other stuff like ginacue, southwest etc. i've never found anything that's come close to replacing my carmeli yet. hopefully the searing i get in the future will replace it.

I agree.....might even have Nitti and Travis tied in second place. All three makers build fine cues, no doubt. Prewitt's work is virtually flawless from what I have seen. His workmanship is arguably as good if not better than many of the BIG NAME (hof) makers.....but collectibility and resale is more dubious than some of the hof makers. Collectibility/resaleability on the others tends to vary more with the design and materials used.

I also agree with Marcus's assessment, but the one aspect that seems to have been left out of this thread is...

A Prewitt with the same amount if inlays is going to cost at least twice as much as the same cue from any of the other 3 makers.
