Throughout his history here, he has ammassed greenies from a lot of people who have changed their minds about him recently. There are several people in this thread that have voiced their change of opinion about him. and pool up.

You are right, but it is amazing how much rep he recieved for his self serving posts about how great his cues are. He didn't really contribute much to this board, besides reasons to promote his cues. You can talk all you want about yourself, but eventually people's true nature normally comes out. People even told him that his advertising posts were a little over the top, but he continued to pat himself on the back. I am not surprised about the outcome, because I never really liked his style to start with.

hi Brian...

Neal it is good that in view of all that has transpired you are able to take the high road.I am not yet a Saint.
To date wheats friends have stated they have no control over what wheat says or does.wheat has left a few of them in the dust over this incident.
If wheat's heart were in the right place there would have been no responses from him , only action that mitigated his swindle of Mr.Edwards.wheat blew every aspect of the transaction. His "good heart" only regrets getting caught and outed. If for some reason, which at this time I cannot fathom, wheat learns from his AZB mistakes then he will owe a debt of gratitude to the" herd of sheep" and "school yard bullys"who stood up to his nonsense and collectively showed him the errors of his ways.I think it was the great philosopher WilleeCue who once said, "A weasel is a weasel and actions speak louder then words"
Regarding the use of the "red rep".One of wheat's petty threats in private messages was a threat to red rep because he was high on the list and quoting wheat,"it will sting a wee bit". That was after beginning the message with an insulting name.
No one in this thread or probably the world can hurt wheat's business more then wheat. There is no gain from red repping wheat.rep points are meaningless accept to warn the unknowing. For crying out loud, Smorg is number one and his avatar wears a lime helmet half the time.(not that there is anything wrong with that).
You say that a lot of "great posters" won't post anymore ?The only thing better then the old is the new.People , many of them damaged to varying degrees and on many levels will find their way to this site because it is the best Billiards/pool site on the web. Those people will post. Some good, some not so good. Those that feel they are above it all and for that reason cannot post should enjoy life in the ivory tower and keep their pearls of wisdom all to themselves where only they can appreciate how insightful they are.
Neil, on what basis do you believe wheat is trying to be a good business man and that his heart is in the right place? Could it be his prolific use of exclamation points? Could it be his lack of memory regarding points(6 not 8), or previous lies which are now mistakes?Could it be that when wheat had the chance to step up to the plate he threw Mr. Edwards an envelope of "wheatbucks"?Could it be that when wheat finally did produce a cue it was more wrong then right to the degree that the aggrieved party passes on a new free cue and wants zero contact from wheat?
Neil there is no shame in taking a stand. You do not have to witness wrong and stand silent. That is the easy way out.It is also the way that allows the hustle to continue.
You Neil hope that wheat succeeds in business.I truly believe that if wheat somehow(not sure if it's possible) became an honorable human being most of us would be supportive. This country and most of the world is big on second chances and the concept of redemption. For your hopes Neal... "Blessed is the man who expects nothing for he shall never be disappointed."
Neal , I believe your heart is in the right place because you view wheat as an underdog. That is admirable not to mention the American way.Take an objective look at this thread and several others regarding wheat's conduct and statements and Mr. Edwards cue.Read the post by WilleeCue on this thread I believe. That's as plain and truthful as your ever going to see. In conclusion Neal,
the nonsense started 8 months ago when money was taking and 4 times delivery was promised but did'nt occur .The nonsense ended when the forum members would not stand by silently and as a group took action.
Brian

I have been giving rep to all the posters in this thread that are trying to make AZbilliards a better place by making sure others aren't put through a nightmare as well.

I gave Eddie red and have been slowly giving rep out on my iPhone so I can reload again. I've given out too much rep in this 24 hour period so tomorrow more red is coming his way.

I can't have innocent people thinking that EW has a "reputation beyond repute"
If I am not mistaken, you have to rep 20 other people before you can rep the same person again (never the same post twice though), but you can only give out 10 reps per 24 hour period, so it may have to be day after tomorrow before you can get him again.

Good luck in your campaign, there are quite a few of us that are dedicated to making this thing happen to see justice and for the good of the membership. We really should be doing the same thing with Varney too though (he is probably even worse than Wheat but his mouth wasn't quite as big)...

To help with giving rep for those that so desire:

Charlie,

blah, blah, blah.......

I'm sorry if I made the length mistake ! It's always posible considering the various numbers I'm working on with custom orders at the same time but still doesn't make it acceptable !

more blah, blah, blah.......
When he first came on here, Eddie made his rep by trashing established cue makers, saying they charge too much, exaggerate their lead times and are cheating their customers. Anyone remember that?

Wonder if any of those he trashed have a problem keeping the specs straight on multiple orders they work on concurrently? NO!

Unfortunately, all the words posted in this thread and others will fall on deaf (virtual)ears. Eddie appears to operate in his own realm of non-reality and any attempts to communicate with him will be filtered to hear what he wants to hear.

He will NEVER get it. Never.

If We Didn't Create The Monster, We At Least Zapped Him With The Lightning

No, Eddie Wheat will never 'get it' , but at least he didn't take his own life when faced with possible jail time.

(look on the bright side) imo

A while back I bought a cue on here from a certain "sales person" repping an "up and coming cuemaker" and I got screwed. I had the cue fixed up a little and got out from under it but lost about $300 in the process. I never bashed anyone involved on here, as I didn't think there was anything to be gained, it was what it was. In spite of that I found myself feeling sorry for Mr. Wheat in some of these threads, but now I'm not sure why I ever did.

The whole GC thing is way over the top and it seems he basks in the negativity of public posting. It would have been so easy to do the stand up thing via PM or email and satisfy your customer.

There was maybe a 5% chance that I would have bought a cue from you some day EW and probably a 20% that I would have recommended you to be checked out by someone looking for one... now there is zero on both counts!

Mr. Edwards, maybe you can auction that GC on FleaBay and p/u $50 or so?

Well, yeah, sure, but what about the fortunate few that got 50% OFF ?

Bummer, just found out that I can't give out "useful rep" until I hit 50 posts. Sure hope I don't accidentally "double post" this to hit the magic number of 50. :D

Scott,
I would rather wait 7 months and get what I ordered than get it in 2 months and it not be right...

So how would you feel about waiting 7 months and it still not be right?

One time offer!

The $150 gc, as you call it, is a Gift Certificate, to be used at Wheat Cues. Sorry Eddie, but that means nothing to me. But thanks for the gesture.

Charlie, I will honor Eddie's $150 GC on the purchase of a new RAT cue just to show how cue maker's should take care of their customers.

PM if interested.

I would not accept a gift certificate from that same cuemaker that is for sure.. Charlie is a good guy, and if it was me, I might be planning a trip to Disney with a side stop...
