Oh wow way sad.

Life is precious, and fleeting.

Doug was a great guy and went

way too soon.

I can't imagine the shock and loss his family must be feeling.

Didn't know him but seemed like a stand up guy who always had great quality cues, cases and billiard related items to sell and trade never any junk. The AZ Billiard Community will surely miss him. My condolences go out to his family.

I really don't know what to say. Life is so unexplainable sometimes and this is one of them. Doug was such a good friend to so many of us. A great wife and two young kids left behind.

Such a sad day................

Oh what horrible news. We all liked Doug a lot because he was one of the best. Just such sad news.

It is a sad day

but

also a day for us all to take a lesson and understand just how utterly valuable each day we have should be.

Wow... really unbelievable........

I just talked with Doug last week and when I saw this thread went into shock.

just wow.....

Condolences to his freinds and family.

Sad Day

Doug was the first person on AZ to sell me a cue. He was patient, understanding, and explained the process (and options) thoroughly.

As I suspect all of Doug's deals went, this one was flawless. I bought several more items (cues and cases) from Doug afterwards.

When I needed cataract surgery, Doug was kind enough to explain the options I was provided, and how each option would affect my vision in the long-term - as a player. This is something my eye-doctor just could not explain.

Even though we never had a chance to meet in person, I counted Doug as a friend. You see, we shared a common obsession.

Doug - you will be missed. Godspeed my friend.

My sincerest condolences to the Baltrip family.

what shocking news, my condolences to brandi and doug's children. doug and i shared common interests in cues and especially cases as well as watches and i will miss my conversations with doug. doug also helped answer questions about my eyes and eyeglasses, he was always willing to help people out. we always had a great time hanging out at the show in march. doug will be missed and our cummunity has lost a great person.

This is terrible news and he'll be missed on the forum by all of his friends. I bought a couple of things from Doug and I complimented him a few times about his great photography and he gave me some tips on how to get better pictures. He was a great person and I feel so bad for his family.

I met Doug at Valley Forge and even conducted some pool related business with him. Very congenial person...he will be missed by the community.

I finally met Doug face to face at VF this year regarding one of my watches and even thought we didn't do any business...it was nice to have met him to put a face to a name on AZ. Doug was very knowledge with both watches and cues. I'm sure he'll be missed by many. My deepest condolences to his family and close friends.:(
