I will forever marvel at his pool cue made from cardboard. No really, he had a prototype.
I got to where I never really read any of his post. I usually just skipped over them. He definitely was different from the normal poster, but you never want to hear this news about someone whether you agree with them or not. RIP and prayers for the family.
He loved pool as much as any of us, which says a lot. Looks like he was an incredible teacher who had a positive impact on many students:

It made me incredibly sad to read this.
Not because I had a particular affinity for justnum but because he was a long time “resident” whose handle and style of posting here was instantly recognizable, along with his frequently oft-kilter takes on all things pool. He made this forum a better place and helped make it a joint I think we all wanted to visit more often.
Very sad.

Justin/justnum will remain an enigma, it seems. Impossible to tell how much was joking, or half joking, or completely serious. He said at one point he was a 350-pound women in South Dakota -- I guess he wasn't.

I enjoyed his posts and usually thought about them a little bit where many others just dismissed them. Sometimes he was making a very subtle point. I enjoyed that about him.
I also liked how he would keep on trying to make his point in the face of heavy adversity. That kind of stubbornness is admirable to me.
