Sarah Rousey on ESPN 2

If she's nervous she has a good poker face. Really happy to see Sarah in the TV rounds. Come on sponsors, hook up with this little spit-fire and you'll both make money. Johnnyt

Thanks Joe and Johnnyt. I hope everyone gets to see it. I know the timing of it is a bit off since many people are at work (including me) and couldn't watch it. I hope everyone remembered to set their DVR's. Remember, there are matches everyday this week around the same time. The semifinals and finals are on Sunday, the 21st starting at 2pm est.

Thanks again,
Sarah

I am sorry Sarah, but I couldn't find it on either TVAnts, Sopcast or internet-streaming... Don't have ESPN here in Norway... But I really tried to find it, wanted to see it but ended up with UK Snooker instead :)

Hope you won :D

She beat Gerda Hofstatter 7-2 i believe.
She looked very confident in her debut, and did a great job.
Keep it up.

Just watched it and nice win Sarah!!!!

Awsome debut! You looked solid, but not tight. A nice balance between patience and fun.

I was surprised at first that Gerda missed on that three foul, but I think because Sarah's play and composure was solid, Gerda may have felt that she had to do more with the shot than she would have wanted. (That's enough of my B player analysis. lol)

Not only is Sarah one cool customer at the table, but a cool poster here on AZ as well! The whole package! :D

Got to see Sarah play as well as talk to her for a while when she was here for Shannon's tournament last month. She is definitely the real deal and a genuine pleasure to watch and be around.

looked like she loaded the shot up with inside english and didn't compensate for it.

good win sarah! i wish they'd show the whole match without skipping ahead

Thank you T and everyone else. I too was surprised at Gerda's kicking. She is genearally one of the best when it comes to that. I think she was just having an off match. I admit, she was not playing her best. I had many opportunities.

UGOTDA7...I didn't get a chance to say it was nice to meet you in Fayetteville..but it definitely was nice meeting and chatting with you and your wife.

smoooothstroke...thanks for the compliments and the final score was 7-3. Oh, and nothing is due...it was just the style of the shirt.

Roy...maybe it will replay on one of the channels you get or someone may upload it to youtube. Thanks for trying to watch it though!

poolplayer...thanks...I too wish there wasn't so much skipping around but I have to say it was pretty cool everything that they added to the show. But I was a little upset, I actually ran out a whole rack one or two of the games they cut out!

Thanks again everyone.

(Edit- I think they were having trouble making the match look close! lol)

Let's hope you keep having that problem! :D

Congrats again!

I love Allison,Ewa,Vivian and Lee,but it is nice to see new hot talent on the WPBA,great job Sarah and on your first televised match.I heard you work 40+ hour's at your full time job and practice night's and weekends,I'd hate to see how you play if you practiced 40+ hours like everyone else...lol. Great job and good luck with the tour....Ron

Congratulations, Sarah, on your first TV appearance. Great win over Gerda.

Actually, you put yourself on my radar as a teenager in a match against Gerda. At the US Open in 2002, at the Sandia Casino in Albuquerque, New Mexico, you faced the postion below at double hill against Gerda and cut it in to win the match! What a shot!

Sarah,

Very good match...keep it up. It is nice to see some new young faces in the TV matches...especially when they win. Mitch mentioned that (either he or you) thought you had a slight mental block when it came to certain players. That is a common mistake by younger players and I am glad to see that you whipped that block.

Say, did I notice correctly that you were playing barefoot or did you just wear some light colored shoes? Just asking.

Congrats...Ken

She doesn't show much. I played her in Chattanooga in a tournament (where she steam rolled me by the way) and she didn't show much. Glad to hear you made Tv Sarah. Good player.
