Sarah Rousey supporters -

Az member Cliffy is putting up a Tim prince cue to be auctioned off here on AZB to support Sarah Rousey's trip to the Amway Cup in Tapei, Taiwan.

The cue could use a a refinish before the auction so I'm looking for a cuemaker to step up and donate his services to refinish the cue before we do the auction. The tournament is at the end of April, so we need to get this moving fast.

I am going to throw in a 1x2 case with the cue for the auction package and manage the logistics of getting the cue to the cuemaker, running the auction, shipping the cue to the winner, and getting the funds to Sarah. This should be a lot fun and we all know it is for a worthy cause!

We got Alton to Valley Forge we can do this. 10 Bucks from a lot of people goes a long way in the end. I in just let me know what you need help with. How is she coming along with travel and hotel does she know what the end cost will be around so we know what to AIM way above. I mean she needs to travel while she's there too....
 
Thank you so much Jamie and Cliffy! I know I talked to you about this already but this was a really nice surprise to find today!! Everyone here at AZ and online in general have been so generous. I am close to my goal and this should definitely help get it there. I will throw in some things too to people who bid and whoever wins. I will have t-shirts soon and I have the patches and cueballs. Whoever wins can have one of each and I will try to come up with some other things.

Thank you all again for your generosity. All I can hope is to make everyone proud this year in the States and overseas!

I have a leather jacket that was worn by Jeanette Lee I can donate for the auction. It was given to her by Imperial and worn in all the magazine ad's and at tournements. I have a certificate of authenticity signed by Jeanette and a copy of the ad. I don't know if this will raise any money, but if so, I would like to help Sarah out with it.

might I suggest a raffle for her support rather than an auction?

I'd be more than willing to thrown down a few bones in a raffle to help her out, but cannot afford to make a big donation.

Sarah is my favorite professional player in the world because I've personally met her and she is one of the nicest people on the planet. This girl is more down to earth than the ocean.
 
With a raffle you would have to set a price. With an auction it would go to the highest bidder. Maybe do both, and if the auction does not bring more money than the raffle would, then use the raffle. You could set up the raffle and have it pre-sold in case it is needed.

Looks like Alton has stepped up and will be making a set of custom joint caps for the cue. This is turning into a very nice package!!! Thanks Alton..you are a class act!

I may end up doing this in a raffle format. I have never done a raffle and have heard some horror stories about members getting their Paypal accounts shut down over a raffle. If I was confident this will not happen to me, I would have no problem running the package in a raffle format.

Wes Hunter has volunteered to refinish the cue. Thank you very much Wes!!!!

Looks like this is coming together in a timely manner. I will keep everyone updated on the cue and the auction or raffle.
 
I can do the finish if you are still looking for someone to do it. I just saw this thread, I don't know how long this was going. Anyway, count me in if you need me. Chris.
 
I don't know how you could arrange it but, I'd like an autographed cue ball from Sarah.
Meaning, I'd like to purchase one, I think if she autographed a few they'd go pretty well in an auction.

I was going to donate to her blog on tuesday and get the Patch & cueball. I don't have the $$$ to put in a bid on an auction but, if you do a raffle, I could buy a few spots. Good luck and great idea...Ron:thumbup:
