Say What You Want About Bob Jewett...

The first time I had a chance to talk much with Bob we were at the Mosconi cup in 2013. We went to dinner at one of the buffets in Las Vegas.
I had know idea who Bob was and his amazing life in the game and outside the game.
Next time we eat, the dinner will be on me!

I only know Bob from what he writes and others write, but I feel I have the measure of an incredibly intelligent, generous, and unassuming man. And, how often do we find true intelligence and savoir faire combined in such complementary quantities? Wherever in the world Bob landed, it was going to be special. Our sport's good fortune is that a cue somehow found its way into Bob's hands, and he never let go of it. Sometimes folks like Bob quietly contribute for an entire lifetime without any credit. It is very good to see Bob get the recognition he so very much deserves.

We need as million more like Bob Jewett in this sport!!

Bob is a treasure to the game. His work on behalf of the 14.1 event at DCC was greatly appreciated by me and other 14.1 fans. It's unfortunate the structure of the DCC didn't allow the event to continue.

this thread needs a pic

So glad to see Mr. Jewett getting recognition, and even more glad that he shares his knowledge with us here...congratulations!

Bob is one of our sport's treasures. I've been seeing him on the tournament trail for decades at both pool and three cushion events, and it's always great to see and greet him. He has long been one of the greatest ambassadors for cue sports in America, and he contributes in so many different ways to the game we love.

A well deserved honor for a bright spot in this industry. It’s a standard we can all aspire to hold ourselves to. We don’t have to strive to mirror his achievements but we can certainly aspire to model his approach to the community.
