Well, what I hoped would happen has. Scott and Sylver will be chalking up today (after the Noon Central 1 loss match between J Jones and Joey Gray).

Will we get a repeat of DCC or will Sylver take home the cheese? What's your take?

dont you count out Mr. Gray, he took out Parica 4-1 and Gabe 4-1 I think this is his tourney...kids on fire and tournament tough. I think that Sylver is going to take down Frost for the hot seat tho from what I've been seeing all week.

I don't wanna see a rematch. would like to see gray pull of the loser side win and play frost in the finals. Gray has been playing well all weekend. I do pick frost to win it all...hes still got the momentum from the DCC, so he's my pick.

currently I think Scott is the best 1P player he is on a rush, its really hard to say who is the best, that changes about once a year near as I can tell. But Scott is the man right now.

Sylver will be forsure the top 1P player all in due time, he has what it takes and he will break through and win his fair share of big tournemnts, like SVB he plays alot of hours and works hard on his game.

I was not impressed with Sylver's attitude after Scott won a good DCC, even though he won on a shot which he had no control over he could have showed a bit more respect and not act like Scott had no business in the game.

Sylver was just disappointed as would anyone be after having that happen double hill-hill. I have heard from Scott that Sylver is a real gentleman and a very good player.

I was at the T-Town Classic, and sitting table side for this rematch, Sylver controlled Scott from start to finish, Offensive, Defensive, General moving......it was nasty to watch Scott squirm and repeatedly blame the table and Sylver played every aspect spot on, the 4-0 victory took about an hour total maybe less.

I hung out with Scott a ton this weekend and he said this multiple times.

I met Sylver and talked with him two times for a total of about 10-15mins and he was very kind and respectful.

Scott had nothing but good things to say about Sylver while he was commentating. Scott had his emotions enough in check, to jump in the booth right after losing to Raphel after being up 3-1.

Umm...Actually, it IS like him. He called Richie Richeson's One Pocket game "garbage" at either DCC 2008 or 2009. I know. I was there. I HEARD him.

Thankfully for Richie, I respect Grady Matthews' and Billy Incardona's opionions on One Pocket players much more than I do Sylver Ochoa's, as both of them think very highly of Richie's game.

One has to be VERY careful when talking sh*t about another player, as you never know who is listening. :D

That being said, I think that Sylver either IS, or WILL BE the best American One Pocket player within the next six months to a year. Pardon me for saying, but I personally think that Scott's fundamentals are not nearly as good as Sylver's, and Scott cannot rely on them during really crucial, tough shots, where form is key.

I think the only reason Scott would ever consistently beat Gabe Owen is because he is more aggressive. I just don't agree that Scott is the best American One Pocket player. Sorry.

I feel like such an idiot. I was about one hand raise away from buying Sylver and Rafeal in the calcutta, lol.

What a great tournament.

Scott is very dominant. He makes a lot of guys timid, he's just really strong in one pocket. He has to be the best one pocket player. Who else lines up to play Efren some? Oh and he wins against him. Not saying he will win everytime but just saying Scott would play him everyday.

Sylver is a monster too. Probably in the top 5 for Americans. He's on a heater but IMO if a guy gets torchered even against certain players how can he be better than them? He was on the stream talking about the players he needs weight from. How the tournament finishes don't really mean much when it comes to gambling and all that good stuff.

Both guys are exciting to watch.

Sylver is very humble - and smart. Meanwhile he may be the fastest improving young player in the country right now.

I agree, Deschaine is improving too, but reguarding 1P Sylver is improving more than anyone else.

Scott has SOOOOO much fire power when he gets infront of the balls game over.
