Shane wins!!!!

Great win for the USA. Shane sould be on the Mosconi Cup Team for the USA as well - Oh well.
 
congrats to him really! Thats impressive, but I'm also suprised of how many people knew that he going to win, and he did it.
 
Well done Shane. An AZBer makes good. I really think that his experience at the BCA Open, in which he got to play twice under the TV lights, winning the semifinal over Mike Davis, then losing the final to Dennis Orcullo, set Shane up for success. The bright lights of the US Open were something he was prepared for, and how he showed it!

Happy as I am for Shane, I'm even happier for American pool. It's a long time since we've had a young player that showed this much promise. Shane has been mixing it up with the big boys all year with great success, and his pedigree has developed very rapidly. He's the story of the year in 2007, no matter what happens at the WPC.

It's a great day for American pool, and forgive me if I gloat.
 
Congratulations, Shane! The young man had ice water in his veins, looked poised, professional and polished; every bit the champion. It appears there is a new sheriff in town. Perfect nickname: Sheriff Shane.

Shane has a Joss that was made just for him when he was 9, and he stole my Schon (one of my thirty year old cues) from me last year. (He borrowed, but I have a feeling I will never play with it again.)

by the way who was in the finals with shane? I got the online tv but i didn't see the finals >_<
 
Congrats Shane, you played great! About 40 people were watching at JJ's and cheering(literally) you on. Just a masterpiece of pool and I believe you leave no doubters.
