Show us your HOME ROOMS !!

Bumping this thread to the top. Great looking rooms so far but with so many on AZ this is just to small a sampling of them.Post some pics of your rooms.:thumbup2:

Nice room Bob.
The ceiling is a real nice touch.

That's a 1916 Custom Brunswick Kling. I bought it in January and spent 4 months renovating it. She turned out way better than I'd hoped for and I couldn't be happier.

I think I'd cut a couple of toes off for that table. It's impeccable. I think that when I finally get a room (have to get the house in the states first), I'm going to get a replica of that table custom made. I like it that much.

How's it play in comparison to the newer tables?

It's less than ten years old and the company (Teres Audio) is still very much in business. They have stopped making the belt driven tables and now have some killer direct drive tables. Be prepaired for some sticker shock though. Their cheapest start around 10K. They still have some of the traditional style tables available in their "scratch and dent" section. Some 200 series tables that were the predicessor to the 300 series that I have.

I've heard some pretty nice turntables before but nothing that betters this one, and the arm/cartridge are far from state of the art. Play a well recorded record and it will scare you. The clarity, timing and silence are spooky. You will here details that you never knew were there. Even on recordings that you grew up with (and heard maybe a thousand times).

I realize I never listed the components so here they are: Teres Audio 320 turntable (Origin Live Silver tonearm and Shelter 501-II cartridge). Atmasphere MP-3 Preamp, Atmasphere M-60 amplifiers and Talon Audio Khorus speakers.

The only drawback to the system now is that the listeners sweet spot is right in the middle of the pool table now. Oh well, I'll just have to live with it I guess .

Cheers All,
Randy

I think he means your pool table.

DOH! Trying to type while laughing here. Total brain fart on my end.

Antfarm,

Sorry there. When you asked how it played.......well you know how we get after 40.

The slate is 1.5" thick and it plays REAL well. The thick slate and 4" x 16" laminated construction of the frame yield a super silent playing surface. It has Simonis 860 and new cushions but I feel they are a little slower than my previous table (World of Leisure with Simonis 760). If/when I wear out this cloth, I'm going to have some "fast" cushions installed and see if things quicken a tad.

Here's a couple links to threads I started after getting the table. It kinda takes you through the renovation process.

Very nice cave you have Bob, and the ceiling is wild.
With the open tube amps, I'd be a little nervous myself but great table and room just the same. Love the juke box with the wooden turn table.

My little room

Here you go!

I posted pics before in this thread:

But I've made a few additions/changes. Most notably is my new cue cabinet that I designed last year in collaboration with Bruce Roeder of Blatt Billiards in NYC. I wanted to have space for two shafts behind each butt. Bruce did a wonderful job matching the cherry wood to my Olhausen table.

stevekur -no you can't :p and thanks for the compliment. The cues are, L-R, Espiritu, Viking (one of the original 4 made for Corey) Scruggs, Scruggs, Scruggs, Klein, Scruggs, Scruggs, Scruggs, Scruggs, Klein, Klein, Klein.

9Ball Marksman, the middle section has room for two shafts per and the sides only one - can't tell from the picture. The rest are in cases....somewhere.

beetle-yes one more, just one more....anyone have a Scruggs or a Klein cheap? BTW, nice room. Looks like a great table for the next ring game. Sleeping bags optional.

Mike....waiting to be slammed for the red - cabernet actually - cloth.

Here's mine. I just started my own thread but figured this would be appropriate as well.

Ok folks, between the military and my job in Afghanistan I have been waiting eight looooong years to have my very own home pool room. I've been spending so much time in there lately. My Tascarella cue is 59" and I have a full cue around the entire table. The table is a 9' Diamond Pro-AM with matching light. The wooden indian just came in today so it was time to take some pics.

I have a ton of posters and stuff for the walls. But I started hanging everything on both walls and it only covered like half of each wall and I thought it looked tacky.

So, I will be putting everything I have on one entire wall. A good friend of mine is going to paint me a mural of some kind on the other wall. It will cover the entire wall but trying to think of what I want. Any ideas?

I hope ya'll enjoy the pics my friends. Damn, words cannot express how happy I am right now.

Thanks Ya'll, John

I love the Wooden Indian (Native American)! Diamond looks great too. Is that a european 60kmh speed limit sign by the heater? Fantastic too.

Congrats and good luck.

Ryan

Runout1961, that is the EXACT table I want for my (future) pool room. What finish did you choose on the wood? It looks beautiful with the Tournament Blue Simonis!

Yup, european. I was stationed in Germany for 3.5 years and "borrowed" a few things. I have more, just not up yet.

9BallMarksman-I bought the table and light used, but it's in great shape and plays great! I play at my house then go to a local bar box tournament and those bar boxes are nothing compared to playing on the 9ft Pro-Am

Hey ya,

got my own pool room ready and wanted to share it with you guys.
Picture Quality is low, was shooted with my Blackberry, but i think you can see it however...

Best Regards from Germany!

Table without Sideparts and the room still growing...

Gold Crown IV, with brass corners and modified side parts, i like it.
The Pockets are almost 2 Balls wide, perfect to have fun but good for training, too.
