I don't see walnut. Looks more like a stained burlwwood or cocoa.
It is nice...

Walnut... Coco... stained Burlwood? It states right in the first post it's Brazilian Rosewood Burl.
What a great cue Steve. Old school... the way it should be!
I appreciate your photos. It seems you show the good and bad in many of your cues (much to the chagrin of some.) Macro shots are tough on cuemakers and I've even heard Searing say that there's no such thing as a perfect cue.
Was this the cue from auction where Billy donated the proceeds to future ICCS expenses? Lot of handwork went into this and makes it a very generous donation. Adds a nice bit of history to the cue already; kudos to Tikkler for being part of that.
Now I guess you're committed to future ICCS events!
I don't think theres ever going to be a PERFECT cue...tho many will claim they allready have it....LOL
the reason I post my pics is so that every other cueaholic like me can get a chance to appreciate these cues. The close in shots are intended to give everyone a chance to see the incredible workmanship that is put into these cues...or even just to see the cue as if it were in there hands.

Old school vs. new school. Not sure you can compare them.
You are clearly not the most observant fellow, are ya???
Steve, the grain of the rosewood alone makes this cue pretty damn gnarly.
- B <--------- prays each and every night that Bruce stops saying 'functional art' and Nick learns how to spell 'congratulations'.
Troy, thanks.....the whole scheme of the cue flows so beautifully...I love the design of the boxes
That's a great cue Steve, very good looking, lots of work, great execution.
Do I understand that Mr Schick makes his cues without the aid of a CNC machine?
Thanks
Kevin
At the last ICCS he had a cue in progress where he was wrapping the gold foil around the inlays by hand before they ever went into the cue.
