So Whats Next For TAR

I gotta say i'd love to see Jason Kirkwood in a barbox match or Chris Bartrum matched up with someone and to hold it here in Columbus. What are some thoughts on who would be match ups for these guys?

+1 I would like to see Kirkwood. I think we need to look in the direction of DCC names we saw gambling for a good matchup.

Would love to see Keith McCready play. Someone needs to get him in the box--- win/lose... he's who I wanna watch.

Hopkins is looking to bump heads, so I hear. Hopkins against whoever would be great. Maybe Hopkins vs. McCready in some 10-ball action?

EDIT: Bartrum vs. whoever as well.

Hopkins vs McCready would get my $20. Lets see some old school 9 ball on the big table. maybe an 8 ahead set on a diamond :)

I would really like to see Larry Nevel playing someone on one of the TAR challenge matches. He is playing as good as anyone right now. JMO.

Southpaw

hi

your right i dont want to play him.but if i was forced to it is possible that i could make him try a little.every post youve ever made having my name involved has not made me look to sharp.for the record ive kept track over the last 8 years every match ive ever played in a tourney with the pinoys.my record is 16-14.furthermore i played ronnie alcano for 10 hours over 2 days high money 10ball even and was 8 games winner.ive also gambled with alex several times playing 9ball and 14.1 and believe me it was a war.anyway thanks again for basically saying i have no chance.

I want to see Larry Nevel vs. John Schmidt in an all-around. Just make sure someone is holding the money so when Larry goes to the bathroom he doesn't come back to find part of John's end missing from on the light.

Well, it WAS 15-14 until you beat Efren the other day--- now it's 16-14. So, I think you can beat any person on earth on any particular day. Your two runs of 400+ are the most impressive displays of recent playing between any pool player anywhere.

your right.i played larry 8ahead years ago .after 10 hours he won he broke great and won.the money was posted on the light with many sidebets.one of the people who was betting on me managed to pull his bet off the light.there was 100 people watching and i never went near the money on the light.to this day i dont know how anybody got the money off the light without someone noticing. anyway larry and everybody there attested to the fact i never went near the money so nobody blamed me.supernova seems to be implying that i had something to do with it and i dont think thats very nice.anyway if my backer likes my end of playing larry an all around i will play.also i think i might just try quintenn some 8ball.whats the worst that could happen ,i could lose .its happened before and it will again.

Here is a list of players who have I have spoken with or have made it known to one of our friends or associates (Spider Webb is an official TAR Associate :D) that have mentioned an interest in playing a TAR challenge match. In no particular order and no particular pairing:

Allen Hopkins
Cliff Joyner
Jason Kirkwood
John Schmidt (obviously :D)
Scott Frost
Alex Pagulayan
Mika Immonen
Darren Appleton
Karl Boyes
Mike Dechain
Jason Klatt
Shane (probably late this year / early next year)
Tony Chohan

All these guys want to to do something it is just a matter of what, with whom, and when. The devil truly is in the details with these things and scheduling is a b!tch especially with the players from overseas.

We would love to do some things with the pinoys, the problem is we have no real point of contact for these guys and their schedule is crazy. We would have to piggy back off of an event in the states that they are already here for so maybe we can swing something big for the Open or the Derby later this year.

I see Nevel's name come up over and over and we are open to setting something up with him. The thing is neither Chad or I have met Larry and do not really know someone that is tight with him to open a dialog. If Larry is interested in a TAR match up and you know him please ask him to get in contact with us or get me or Chad his contact information and we will go from there. The same goes for the pinoy players, if you know them and they are interested let us know.

Our next for sure event is the 2nd Annual $3000 entry 10 Ball Bar Table Ring Game Tournament at Shooters in Olathe. This will be our 1 year anniversary as a company. We basically started at this event last year and cant wait to get back to Shooters and do it again. For those who watched this last year you know how awesome it is to see all of the players in action all of the time. It is great event. We are working on the final dates with Dan Tull now and are looking at probably the first or second weekend in August.

We appreciate all the interest in the future match ups and and will keep all of your suggestions in mind.

Just to tease you 14.1 fans out there, there has been some talk of possibly a Schmidt vs Hopkins 14.1 race to 1000 for $5K or something along those lines. Allen is interested and so are we and I know John will play any living human at that game. It is in the extremely early stages and may or may not happen but....it just might. :D

We have so much video that needs to processed and put out on DVD that I doubt we will do much of anything for June or July except get the stuff we already have out. Here is a partial list of upcoming DVD's

Alex vs Shane Action Challenge 3
Morra vs Bergman Young Guns Challenge
Schmidt vs Harriman Action All Around 2
Monica vs Sarah Ladies All Around from the Derby
5 or 6 matches from the US Bar Table Championships in Reno
The final 2 sets of Alex vs Shane at the Derby
A ton of cool stuff I cant even remember from Qlympics/Derby/Reno plus I am sure I have forgotten some things.

Basically we need to catch up on what we have in the can already and work on putting some really exciting things together for later this year. But.....if the phone rings and the stars and backers align....it could be on with very short notice. :D

I think this might just be the record draw for TAR if it went down. (if they were included):D

GL to you JS. Don't let all of this "support" you are getting on here get you down.

If I backed John against everyone JCIN listed in an all-around, I think I'd walk away such a strong winner they'd have to sew new pockets on my pants and shirt.

Besides seeing some of the old timers play a last hoorah,I would love to see a scotch double with perhaps Shane and John vs Alex and Danny, now that would be interesting. :D

Shannon Daulton?

I would love to see Shannon Daulton in one of these all-around ventures of the DCC type (9 ball banks, 1 pocket & 9 ball).

Shannon vs John Schmidt would be a great match up as long as they didn't play 14.1.

Justin, John, what are you guys thoughts on Shannon Daulton being featured?

I know what they can do.....

TAR can put me up against Grady and they can call it "Has been vs. Never was"

J.K. Grady. I know you aren't a has been and can still stroke em good, but unfortunately, I am a never was. LOL. I hope to change that in the near future.

Jaden.

How about Grady vs Billy in an all around of 9 ball, banks & one pocket?

And I still haven't forgotten the Billy vs Allison match up.....

Sorry, John. I already edited the post. The next tournament you and I are at I'll play you a straight pool game for a $100 just so you can grasp how horribly I actually play.
