I am posting this on behalf of Dennis.
"There has been much speculation about what happened on my recent trip to the United States. First, let me thank everyone for their interest and support and good wishes. For that I am truly grateful.
I have been blessed with wonderful fans and a successful international career, and being able to travel to the United States has been a big part of that. I do not take that for granted. It has been my honor to represent the Philippines in the United States in high level competitions and to promote US-Filipino relations through the sport that I love.
I have deep respect for the laws of the United States and was very surprised when I was recenty refused entry into the United States because I really did not understand the officer's decision.
Through my wonderful supporters in the United States, I have now hired legal counsel who has explained to me why the officer may have had the impression that I was doing something wrong.
I am fortunate to have so much support in the United States and in the Philippines, and with that support, we are actively working on a solution to fix this misunderstanding, so that something like this will not happen again in the future. Again I thank you all for your support and good wishes. I wish everyone a happy and successful New Year and look forward to continuing to compete for the Philippines worldwide once my USA visa situation has been resolved."
