Bob Cmbwsu has brought it my attention that someone has been using my name as well as "cmbwsu, propoolplayer, upstateal, pool4u, worldalvin, calired, diamondproam, lenny-the-loser, f4steddie, and calired.

Sometimes, several names at once. Bob has taken screen grabs and sent them to me to let me know. I don't know who this is and I dont even want to guess... but its childish. Who knows how much damage has been done or will be done with our names. I wonder if they know our passwords or just have a way to replicate our names.

Anyway, I just wanted to let everyone know this is going on and to be careful.

Hmmmm...can you send me that screenshot. I assume that all of us are "saying" crap that are psychotic ramblings similar to sc5....hopefully people are smart enough to know that isn't us, since we're normally witty, wellspoken, informative and entertaining. :D. Everything he/she isn't :D. Why are these actions reminding me of grade school? Ummm...OK..never mind:D

Do the MODS not have access to peoples IP address?? I know one particular troll that did soemthing similar to this and they blocked his IP addy. After that we never heard from him again.

Im sure Ustream has this power aswell.
 
Back in the early days of ustream, when you could pick your font color, there used to be a function where you could change your screen name.

It was /nick followed by whatever name you wanted to use.

So in chat, you would type /nick RandomName for instance, and you would be transformed into RandomName on screen as your new name, every time you typed something into chat.

But this function was disabled a long time ago, when they re-did ustream.

Maybe there is a way to access that old function, or maybe something similar can happen.
Otherwise, i guess it's not worth it to ever log in again if it's a legitimate theft of info.

Don't know about anyone else but the easiest way to deal with this problem is to change your screen name and only let those who need to know what your new screen name is.

Then when the asshole uses your old name attack the bastard and embarrass the hell out of them. I don't think there is much more you can do unless you can find out who ***** is and deal with them face to face and person to asshole.

It is SC5 who is doing that, he will take your name cleary and modify it slightly so people think its you, doing something like this cleary1 and then when he gets banned and you show up then you might get banned too because they think your that idiot. He has done dorabelle too, something like dorabellle, he adds another letter or number to names. I wish those who had SC5s info would put it out there because the guy is just a punk, says the same stupid stuff on my stream and others, lenny is a loser, lenny is a drop out, get your GED and all this BS, I think the guy is a mental case who is socially inept. :p

He/she has been on our streams too. Really upset angela_206 when he took her name. She received numerous texts and phone calls after the post from friends and family wanting to know what was up... I do hope that everyone knows that rail2rail (Annie, Adrianne, Alisha and Angela) and angela_206 would never behave that way ever on anyone else's stream.

What is Mirc? How can I get it?

One of the issues created by Ustream allowing people to login to the chat with irc clients is that the they can login with the exact same name as someone on the channel. Can certainly create problems.

I do not get on the streams much - other than TAR. I always ask that any wager or deal be sent via AZB PM so that there is a record and I can assure who I am talking to. Now if they are just being a tool, either assume the name was fake or I was really drunk:D

I do the same thing, easier to keep track and know who your dealing with.

How exactly does the social stream differ from the chat stream?

Or is he doing it in the chat stream as well?
 
Its not sc5. He isn't smart enough. If he was he would have found a way back into azb. Its someone else. Someone who used to come around a while ago. He would change the spelling just a bit. Got me a few times too. Looks like he found a way to use the proper spelling.
