one day winner breaks, one day loser breaks, and final day alternate break.

That's a good idea Mike since it's only one discipline.

You could also maybe mess with the rules some to make it more interesting.

Day one is winner break plus all offense with BIH on any miss with the soft rails

Day two is loser breaks plus two shot roll out on the soft rails

Day three is alt break standard rules on the tight rails

Either format will be dope, they're both playing well...I can't seem to get tired of seeing Alex and SVB play. What rack are they going to use...Might be cool to see them alternate the breaking format.

Like one day winner breaks, one day loser breaks, and final day alternate break...I like that nip tuck shit though more than a big package...wanna see every ball realllllllly matter. Just an idea though I know a lot of people dislike those formats.

this aint a bad idea, have a 3 day "same game, different format all-around 10B" match. Changing the break format just might show us something we dont know. I KNOW FOR A FACT IN 9B IT WOULD, and just might in 10B.

I really like this idea- great call Mikey Frost!!!!

best

or roll out one day, this plan also might sell more PPV for TAR as well. Something to consider, since both players get paid now(which i like) they would be more accommodating than they would be in a all or nothing action match(assuming no saver-and with SVB there never is-good thing).

I like the 2 out of 3 sets because if someone gets destroyed on day 1, it still makes it interesting to watch on day 2.

Why don't we just lag 100 times the first day. Play the seven railer onto a hundo the second day. And the third day we get basketball... race to 21 -Shane vs Alex on Dennis' shoulders like a transformer.

Why all the funky ass rules? Just put the two guys in the box and I'm buying. You guys are crazy, lol.

This is probably the best idea yet. 3 days of races to 25, 30 whatever, each day changing break rules. Although I don't like the loser break format with top players.

Sounds like a winner. More to think about when betting the match by the day too. Johnnyt

I am digging the transformer thing.

Alex can get some air, now...don't you doubt it.

Not sure how good he is when you put balls in...shiat, I can't go on. Can't say thing like that in a nice place like this.

That third day would be so unfair to Shane.

I've been a proponent of alternate break to keep things closer. But the folks here are torn on that - many want packages - I think there was a poll and it was close. So doing the 3 different break rules over 3 days could be VERY illuminating. I love the idea too.

Every once in a while that Mikey dude can make a little sense. :grin-square: ;)

Because if he wins there's a good chance he comes back for another shot at more $$$$.

So you too think his travel expenses should be paid for by TAR? Lol.

It's simply not worth it for him to pay his own way at a chance to only win 3000, and obviously not worth it for tar to pay for his travel expenses, these are the 2 reasons he hasn't played on TaR yet. But I'm sure if he is in the US for a tournament and the timing is right TAR would love to have him on, Id really like to see him and Shane play a long set.

Well the Filipinos didn't just take the bus to get here. Airfare is about the same but they take a chance and they make it work. And guess what, they keep coming over and over and on their own dime (or their filipino managers). So why should Yang be treated any different?

Here it might have been a close poll. But I think if you wanted Billiards on ESPN, the general audience would prefer seeing a 11 pack run out by Earl

GAMBLING, it's called.
Tell him fly his ass over here I'm sure SVB could get staked to play him for 25k. All these free roll, exhibitions got these guys wanting everything for free nowadays.

You do know the majority of these guys do run off and dump their cash in the casinos, but yet they don't want to bet it at pool, something they are in control of.

think about the races to 100, most of them were blow outs, Shane did come back on Donny Mills, but most were one sided, who ever won day 1 won. I think your gut is right and this poll is wrong.

I am surprised Chris Bartram hasn't responded to this. I watched his race to 100 in its entirety vs Darren Appleton. Darren had a big lead after day one. Chris absolutely destroyed him the second day to win by a pretty solid margin. When Darren did walk in on day 2 he acted as if the match was already over. Chris had a different outcome in mind and made it happen.

SVB likes 1 set

I'd rather see race to 100, but race to 75 will have to do. You see a better grind, and your guaranteed to see 3 days of great pool!!!

Shane has said before that he loves the long races, so probably the SVB fans will be voting for the long set. I voted for the long set to see if a player does go down by 15-20 games..will he fight or give up.

I like the long sets a lot
It's a real test to see what you are made of
I would love to see Svb and Orcullo play races to 100
First 1 to win 5 sets for big money
