Why is Yang Ching Shun not being brought over here from Taiwan to see who is the best player in the world? This is a man who just a few years ago beat Orcollo playing 9 ball 60-42 and ten ball 50-45 for the cash in his home country

How bout this is an option. Play all 3 days, start at 4 or 6 pacific time. Have them play 10 hours each of the 3 days. 20 minute break every 3 hours. Takes 11 hours. Whatever the score is it is, but they may reach 200 this way. You will see some packs , some ups and downs, etc.

I don't think the viewers would mind, and I doubt Dennis or SVB would. As they always say anyhow is, they just want to play pool.

One set or 3 days will not determine who's better anyhow, maybe if they played like 30 days in a row we could determine the better player.

I like this sort of thinking. Ten hours might be a bit much. Justin probably has a pretty good idea of how many hours they normally play each night. Using this info, have them play for a certain number of hours the first couple of nights. Then calculate the score and figure out where the finish line is for the third night.

With the standard Diamond table I think the racks will go a bit quicker. I think if TAR went with this format they would be racing to over 100.

Bring back the long races! nothing like seeing how a guy handles himself when he gets down 10+ games.

Races to 25 each day and make every game count. Best overall score over 3 days. No chance for a 2 day event and a less chance of a blowout

I like the shorter sets for betting purposes, in the long sets if one jumps out its very rare that someone comes back from being down 10-15 games. Just do the 3 days and they get money for each set they win besides the appearance fee, someone might actually win every single day and that would say something for sure about who is the better player.

Personally if its just 9 ball or 10 ball I would not watch though, it does nothing for me although I know many people like those games. The all around format is what I like because it shows who the best player is and not the best rotation player. I hope one day to see 5 sets perhaps shortened just slightly if need be, two each day, day session and night session with banks, one pocket, 8 ball, 10 ball and straight pool played, something for everyone.

Maybe he should bring his own ass down here like normal people do. Or is he waiting for an invitation?

I think you should run 3 sets to 30 as follows:

1st set for 1/4 of total purse
2nd set for 1/4 of total purse
3rd set for 1/2 of total purse

This way is player "A" looses the first 2 sets he can still break even on the third day.

If they split the first 2 sets they can play for the total purse on the 3 set.

I like 3 races to thirty with the third set weighted heavier than the first two.Three separate days.

No box, just reality.

People frequently suggest that there be payouts for this or that, and your post was no different.

Why should the overall fund or payout be reduced to add for something that yelvis wants. Have Yelvis take $500 out and it can be called the Yelvis daily bonus fund.

Are you really that dense? The overall payout would be exactly the same.

I know, let's all go down the rabbit hole to Tommy's "reality" where 5+2 doesn't equal 3+2+1+1 {Here's a hint for you Tommy, they both equal 7}. We'll call it "Tommy's Bizarro Math World". Good grief...

I don't like the whole pay for 3 days and hope it lasts that long model....

If you make me pay for three days, they better play three days..

No,no,no you pay for the whole thing.. but your probably not going to get it.. hey.. it's the risk of buying an internet stream... we promise as much as we can.. and give you as little as we can get away with...

Fck that..

I think 3 sets offers a better format for better play. In a single set long race, someone may get so far behind they stop trying.

On the other hand, rotation games are like flipping coins, and getting too far ahead isn't that likely.
