Ok...hypothetically if you had say Dennis Orcollo and Shane Van Boening and they were gonna play a TAR match which format would you prefer:

Race to 75 over three days.

Race to 30, two out of three sets.

One way you are guaranteed three days but have the possibility of a blow out. The other way you are guaranteed multiple sets but may only get two days.

My gut tells me multiple sets is the way to go but lately there has been some people saying they want to see these guys in a long set so I wanted to see what people think.

Just to keep things on track: Not interested in if someone thinks they should play an all around of banks, cowboy and snooker. Just long set or multiple sets of one game. I know this will do no good but I had to say it for my own sanity.

So what do you think is a good way to see who the best ten ball player in the world is over the course of a weekend?

I'm for the 2 out of 3. It would be like having 2 out of 3 baseball series or a 27 inning game. One good day and the match could be over.

Ok...

Holy FLlCK, that is some funny shit , right there.

Funniest jokes are always rooted in truth, aren't they?

If it were Dennis/Shane I would like to see race to 30 sets 2 out of 3 wins it. Then again I'd like the 75 set over 3 days to see if one of them could blow the other away...I don't think either of them would blow the other away. But to me, I'd buy it either way. I voted for the 3 30 game sets...just to vote;).

For other match ups it would depend who they were for me to answer this question. Johnnyt

I'd rather see race to 100, but race to 75 will have to do. You see a better grind, and your guaranteed to see 3 days of great pool!!!

I vote for a race to 75 .... might be a blow out BUT there might be a historic comeback also ( thinking SVB vs Alex race to 100) --

I think when Shane played Busti 3 sets ... Busti won 2 sets but at the end they were dead even in games....

Taking 3 days and getting to hill/hill would be something !!!

Most match ups with most players, best 2 out of 3 sets.....

These two guys, race to 75 (or 100).

Either way, everyone wins. The best of the best.

I like 3 sets, even if someone has won the 1st 2. Each night is its own match, with the satisfaction of seeing a winner every night. In event a viewer can't watch all 3 nights, he can still watch a match on any night and get "closure".

It just seems more exciting to me to have 3 matches than one.

Race to like 200 over 3 days, is what I think.
When they play in poolrooms gambling they put in much longer hours.

So obviously in these scenarios, I'd favor 75.
And I'd be happy to take action on Dennis now if anyone wants it

if you do sets, i'd still do three sets, even if the first guy wins the first two days.

6 sets total, 2per day. (Or 4 sets wins)

If player A only wins one set on the first two days, the third day will be needed.
Could make for something dramatic like a tie and/or shootout.

I think race to 100 would be fair, it will be possible to compare their result with other players.

I voted for race to 75.

And maybe shorten the sets while doing so. Race to 21
