Terry Ardano to have major back surgery on the 19th

Hey Terry,

I know in times like this it can't be helped you might be nervous (dare I say scared) but you are a wonderful guy that has the biggest heart and everything will be okay. I know you are prolly being strong for your family but it's okay to have some time to yourself and reflect about the procedure.

As you already know, modern day medicine is awesome and so we all know you will be fine. Don't even think about if you can play pool again - although it's tough not to think about it, what's important is allowing the docs to fix your back so it's better.

Luv ya and we miss ya,
Melinda

Since your PMs are full...

I'll post this here. No offense to those who don't share my beliefs.

Terry,

You are in my prayers today for calm and peace of mind going into your surgery, for a full and remarkable recovery, and for your surgeons hands to carry God's blessing.

Amen

Tim

Get Better Soon!! Terry we have never met but I have followed many of your responses over the years and I hope that you have the best outcome that is possible for you and your families future. The pain you must be in now will hopefully be gone in the near future and I hope that your outcome is as positive as your attitude towards life!
One day at a time was my mantra in recovery!
Dan

Hope everything goes well for you buddy. I hope to see you back in fighting shape in no time and getting a bunch of criminals off the streets.

Terry Aredano

Terry,

You are missed here soooooo much. It's been a rough couple of weeks with Smorg passing. I pray that you will come through this ordeal with flying colors. We need your positive spin on things, your great sense of humor and the stats.....what can say.....you're the man!

Like many other of your friends here have mentioned, please don't hesitate to call and swap stories or if you just need someone to listen.

You're among the finest people anyone will ever know! I'm proud to call you my friend.

Sincerely,

Ray
(knows how to spell your name) ;)

Isaiah 40:18-31
Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

Get well soon big guy! You will be in my prayers until your infection clears up (that sounds bad but was genuine) and your surgery is a success. May the hands that touch you be guided by God, and your recovery from the surgery be swift and pain free.

Hi TerryA!

They're taking out your back bones and replacing it with some cat-aver ones? Doesn't sound like much more than a little cut 'n paste job! Try not to worry too much, plenty of us are here for you and have your back. I promise not to needle ya & tell any spineless jokes.

Seriously though, I can only assume you've been in a lot of pain for years and are more than ready to git er dun! Wishing you all the best, and hoping you come out like brand new.

Take care of yourself & looking forward to hearing good news on top of good news as your op turns into recovery and you turn into Efren in 3 months.

I just had shoulder surgery last week so I can definitely sympathize. So many terrible things about surgery, its frightening and comes with all that pain and recovery afterwards. Back surgery sounds much more serious too. Im sending you good thoughts Terry, I hope you have a speedy recovery. Watch out for those docs, they seem to error on the side of making you an addict to pain pills versus giving you not enough. I still cannot believe how many percocets they gave me, its a junkies supply. The only way I could eat all these is if I had a Oxy jones or something and wasn't just alleviating pain.

Many of us have noticed that someone that was selected as the nicest poster on the forum hasn't been posting much lately. There is a reason for that. Terry Ardano has a very nasty back condition that will require major surgery. Being a private person he has remained largely silent about it. However I have wrangled permission to post this so that he and his family can see the support he has on this site. His surgery is tomorrow morning, the 19th.

His time sitting has been severely restricted and will be severely restricted for weeks so he won't be posting for awhile yet but I am sure he or his wife will read the well wishes. Let's show our support for a super nice guy and one if the finest pool historians anywhere!

Terry, you have my phone number. Anything I can do to help you or your family just call on me. I'll be thinking about you my friend.
