Terry Ardeno Just Broke 1000

Terry is one of AZB's very best and makes his posts count, so 1,000 is a big deal.

WHAT A NICE GUY!

Terry is one of the nicest people on these forums. Can't give him rep for an "attaboy" because he has earned some too recently from me so I'll just hope he had a super Christmas and that he has a great 2008. The same wishes for the OP of this thread too of course. He is a pretty good guy himself!

1000 worthless posts. Big deal!

jk. Terry is very knowledgeable and is always a gentleman. Congrats to you sir!

Congrats on the "millenium post", Terry!

....and how appropriate that your 1,000th post was a response to another legendary member (SJM).

Thanks for being here. You make this place worthwhile.

Terry is a plus!

Congrats Terry on your 1000th post. Your posts reflect the gentleman that you are. I enjoy reading you. You are a definite plus to the AZB community.

P.S. I'm getting close to 1000.

Wow. That's one heck of a break in straight pool ! Waaaait a minute, you're talking about post count... ok. Congrats to Terry :D

It seems like just the other day, I was working on my first thousand. How time flies when you're having fun. :D

It seems like Terry has been on here forever. I've never met him, but I feel like he's one of my best friends.

I feel the same way. I've never met Terry - only talked with him on the phone, but he is definitely one of the nicest and most knowledgable members of this forum. Congrats Terry - keep those posts coming!

Joey,
I was glancing over the forums this morning like others read the newspaper and when I saw this post, I grabbed at my chest like Fred Sanford! What the heck!

This was awfully nice of you guys, but not neccessary. I'm humbled by your sentiments and the kind words. They do mean a lot.

Since I can almost hear Smorgie yelling "Speech, speech!", allow me a few words please....

JoeyA was the equivalent of being my godfather in the mob, in that his was the rep that finally gave me the highly coveted & much balleyhooed
"11th square", or, to put it in layman's terms, AZB's equivalent of being a "big kahoona!:) When I first discovered these forums, I was already 44 years old and was only looking for information on some old time champs.
The first person that I noticed who stood out was SJM. He always seemed so gracious and well spoken, and I really appreciated his "style" of communicating. So I unashamedly copied his style of posting.
My job has a lot of violence in it, but also a lot of humor, so I like to inject humor into the posts where it's appropriate. Growing up, the only two sports I ever did was pool & boxing, so I also read a lot of pool material and stuck with it. And "wha-la!" You get a pool geek!

Now I, like you, come here for the commradory as much as for the news and goings on of pooldom. The guys who posted in this thread are my pals, and many of us have shared not only PMs, but emails & phone calls and our friendships have grown. I really, really appreciate all of you a whole lot. And I value all our other friendships that have started and are growing because of this great place!
PS-Thank you!

Some day, and that day may never come, I will call upon you to do a service for me. Until that day accept this justice as a gift. :)

Joey,
Once again, I'm very grateful for you taking care of me. (At this time, I give the time honored combination hug & quick cheek and other cheek hug that Italians (Ar-dee-no Gerry) are known for.)

And in honor of you, I've asked the Mrs to fire up a pot of spaghetti & meatballs, replete w/ extra sauce and some garlic bread for supper tomorrow. We'll listen to some Sinatra or maybe Dean Martin. :)

And again Joey, if there's ever anything we can ever do for you or anyone in your "family" ;) ;) , just name it and it's done.

Peace my brother,
Pal Terry
Grandson of the coal miner who mined the very nuggets that were used to heat the original steam boat that Don Vito's grandpap rode over on.
