Just talked to Terry on the telephone. He is in good spirits and things are progressing normally, which is to say very slowly. He has to wear a back brace for months yet which doesn't allow any bending and twisting. He said he is as stiff as a telephone pole. I think he was talking about his back! Regardless, he tried standing straight up and shooting a little pool. He said his stance looked like Lassiter's but he shot like Popeye's buddy Wimpy.

All in all he is doing fine and trying to use as much patience as possible to get things healed up as best they can. Trying to fuse joints and that takes time. His doc does predict he will play pool as good as ever once he heals up.

He sent a hello to everyone and said that he really misses the forum abd the people on it. It'll still be months before he can sit up very long though.

We do need Terry back. Unfortunately it is going to take some patience on our parts too. He is supposed to be standing or laying down as much as possible, not good to be bent at the waist. When he is better maybe we can send somebody over to raise his computer table a foot or two and tell him to lean against a wall and get busy!

We have some good comparatively new posters but we have lost so many of our best to either death or just drifting away in only the few years that I have been here that we can't afford to lose Terry. He will be back and in better shape than ever. One gain from all of this, he has dropped a lot of weight that needed to come off. He claims it is due to eating less but from his description of the surgery I think the real weight loss came from the same things that make a hot rod car lighter, sounds like he has been chopped channeled and sectioned!

I was lucky enough to receive a call from Terry last night on my drive home from work. It was great to hear his voice and he sounds really good. He said the recovery process is brutal but it is going well.

He wanted me to tell you all hello, he misses you and can't wait to get back here.
