The chance to appear in "The Baltimore Bullet" was considered a very big deal by the members of the Professional Pool Players Association (PPPA), as it gave their sport excellent exposure. In fact, two pages of the program in that year's 14.1 World championship event were dedicated to the movie. The same year, some PPPA players got to appear on ABC's Wide World of Sports, and the exposure given to the sport was also considered a great thing by the industry. I'll never forget watching Howard Cosell interviewing Irving Crane (wish I could remember some of what was said in that interview). Seems like yesterday, to be honest.
