Others:

Predator Sneaky's hit great for a low cost cue.

My Kevin Varney's play F'N Lights out.

My Jerry Rauenzaun plays fantastic.

Didn't double check to see if you listed Ed Prewitt or not, but his cues play lights out and are second to none in terms of quality and detail.

I love the BLACKHEART that I made & have played with for the past 12 yrs, BUT I think the Cue that Joel Hercek made for me IS the best playing cue EVER...JER

I will take my Jacoby that was built to my specs and done perfectly by Dave and company over any of those as a player and it looks great too. And yes i have owned and hit a lot of those on the list.

I've been buying cues since 1987 and had them all. Even the ones no one has heard of I still have like Tim Padgett, Myron K... From Ariel C, Bill S, Dave Ker, Dennis S, Eddie P, Jerry McW, Joe Gold, Jerry F, Mike C & Tim S, Pete T, Rich & Rick P, Gus & Barry S and so on I can name them all and had more than one from each. As far as playability Pete Ohman's Ebony Forearm with 3/8x11 pin plays and hits the best for rotation games. From the hit and the "Tink" sound to the cue ball reaction - Pete's cues with just a Triangle Tip will outplay most of my High End ones that have Kamuis or Mooris on them.

I'm not knocking the others down, I think they play monstrous as well aside from how well they were made. They play just as good. It's just my preference on performance over all my cues and the ones I've had. Imagine a horse race where all the horses are on the line... Pete's nose is just an inch forward to photo finish line.

And this of course will depend on the type of grip one has on his cue and how he strikes the CB. For example my friend whom has a Death Grip on a cue can never tell the difference between a steel joint and a wood to wood pin... But if you let the cue do the hitting with slight cradle to no grip you will notice how each cue responds on center ball, draw, force follow hits... Based on that - Pete's cues to me is the Hannibal Lector of all Monsters! Discreet but Tactical.

This thread reminds me of being strapped into a really old wooden roller coaster with red skies and dinosaurs all around and I'm about to go into a pit of fire with crazy indians running around it then I go into the fire and a myriad of psychedelic images ensue then I wake up and realize I was just on crack.

But I thought this thread was supposed to be about crazy arrows, not crazy indians.

Best,

Why do you need to ask a question that has already been addressed (and for which there is no answer)?

Is it laziness, ignorance, a sense of self-importance...? I wanna know!

Can't tell if this is some inside joke, or you really are a total jerk...

Maybe he is interested? Why is that a problem. Man people need to just...

Black Balled, you forgot to fill this out. It would help to understand where on earth you are coming from...

I've been obsessed with pool for over 30 years and have played with alot of cues. Any cue in the world has got to get up and go, and I mean GO! to keep up with Jeff Olney's cues. Jeff's cues hit phenominal. Best cue I have hit with so far and I can't imagine any out there that could play better. I have one on order with him right now. Trav Dorn got me hooked on Jeff Olney's cues and we were talking on the phone about how good Jeff's cues played and we were also talking about Jeff getting on up there in his mid 50's and he might not make cues too many more years so we need to go ahead and buy a extra couple of cues from him to last us the rest of our lives. Now you know a cuemaker is damn good when you think like that. True story!

over half the responses to the poll have been 'other'.

who can argue with science?
