Hello Jim , The Guy you are referring to is me . You do not have to be bashful about it and please don't hold back. I am the one who was looking for a Adam Balabushka Cue , Jim contacted me and said he had one he would sell me for I believe it was either $750 or somewhere in that neighborhood. I really would like to have had that cue as I believe what he said about it he just shot 1 rack with it. I like to haggle , there is a asking price and a selling price. You never know until you ask. I grew up were you had to work for what you had and a lot of times not a lot of money to due it with . So after a pm or 2 I think he offered to sell it to me for $ 650 plus 25.00 shipping to me. I have a guy who does my repair work who also knows what cues are worth since he has been in the Business since 1970 , I never said he could get it cheaper , but he told me that that was bit steep because those cues do not sell well in the area and since 1970 he has only seen 3-4 come thru . Not a popular cue. A brand new unchalked adam balabushka sold for $ 325.00 on here a few months ago. So with that after thinking about it I never try to buy anything I cannot get my money back out of so I said I decided not to Buy it and Apologized several times for it and also apologized for wasting his time. I also have a situation that I am dealing with that put me in a bind also which was unforeseen and that is the biggest reason I had to say no. For the record tho what does that have to do with this current situation with you and these Jackpot cues. If you are upset about me not buying it you should have contacted me directly the Pm feature works still I believe. But so You guys do not have to wonder who this is he is referring to I will save you all some time . Thanks Randall
All of the ADAM Balabushka cues you keep talking about for going so "low" are Chinese made.
I didn't mention your name or even the type of cue, I was just pointing out that there is more than one person on here who will attempt to keep lowering and lowering the price.
The cue I have was brought brand new and I still have the receipt for when I bought it, I think...unless I threw it away. I think it may be in the case with the cue.
The cue lists for $950.
If you can buy it cheaper, please do so.
Like I said, I was never in the market to sell it in the first place.
If the cue isn't popular and you are worried about buying one to turn around and sell later, then maybe you should invest in something not so risky as pool cues.
The only reason I offered to sell it to you was that you kept making repeated posts and threads on here about you had one decades ago and you wanted another one.
I have no need to sell the cue. I didn't buy the cue to sell. I don't need the money.
That is why I don't put cues on sale here. People want to dicker around and haggle. If I ever want to sell or trade something, I take it to the pool hall and let people see and touch the items before they decide if they want them. Less hassle than trying to dicker with people over the internet.
