update on tommy

hey guys just wanted to give you an update on tom "tommyd1" richter.. his ms has rapidly spread in past few months to consume the left side of his brain. he has been in sinai grace hospital the past two weeks and will be in there for several more months. he is having a surgury tomorrow. they are cleaning out his spinal column and fusing his vertibrae together. they are hoping this alleviates some of his pain so he can focus primarily on his ms.. he was weighed today and he is down to 122.9 lbs . thats 100 lbs lost since august when he was diagnosed ms. please keep my dear friend in your prayers...he hasnt been able to log on too much because his vision is getting very bad also.. im going to print out any and all responses in large font to take to tommy everyday....

Thanks guy's for the well wishes. I've had a real bad back since last October, so I'm in a hospital and have been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. The Dr. Don't think I'll be able to return to work when I get out of here, but I'll try, for as long as I can walk.

AZ is a great a place and I hold it dear to my heart, I've made a lot of good friends here, so peace and --love be to all of you.

And thanks to all my friends, especially Darrell and Terry A.

Tommy,
The doctors have been wrong before and maybe they're wrong about you returning to work too. Here's sending you best wishes and postive thoughts for a short stay at the hospital.

Keep us posted. We'll be thinking of you.

Hey Tommy.

Thinking of you today! Maybe someone can bring in their pda to show you some vids we took in Vegas for BCAPL Nationals. Hope that brings a smile to your face and gets your mind off of worries for even 5 minutes.

Hugs from Texas!

Yea !!!! I'm Back !!!!!

Todays my first day back on AZ. Been pretty messed up for a whaile with this MS. Been mostly in the hospital since last April. Had a 14 hour Surgery on my spine and spinal colum. They put all my vertibray in steel cages and my disk, then fused from L-6 down to L-1. Then they reemedout the center of my spinal colum because it had colasped on my nerves in four different places. So when alls said and done I should heve a pretty solid back. The Surgery was May 27th, so its still pretty painfull, not as bad as the MS though. Sure is good to be back on AZ though. I love reading all the things you all have to say :)) And thanks to everybody who's written their well
l wishes in this post, its nice to have friends like this :))

Thanks again, Tom

Wow Tommy, sounds like you had a serious make over. I know about the back problems. You now have a bionic back it sounds like.

Good luck and hope you make a speedy recovery. Hope you are able to play a little in the near future.

TommyD1...Speedy recovery, at least enough to get out of the hospital. Doctors don't know much about MS and other things like that (ALS, PD and MD among others). The human brain is capable of healing many things in our body. We'll all be sending you good thoughts!
