Vette, I think many AZ'ers think you are one of the more interesting posters here and your obviously no dummy, but even asking some valid questions in the manner you're doing it is rubbing people the wrong way and might not be worth it.
Tony screwed up, is a dumbass for doing it, but it does seem a little bit like kicking a man when he's down at this point.
In California, where Tony spent a big part of his life, marijuana is not only legal but the cannabis clubs will only buy buds if you bring in at least one full pound sometimes. The perception out here is a lot different about weed. Almost everyone here realizes that while illegal, its absolutely no where near the menace of alcohol except when Mexican drug gangs take over land and camp violent growers out in the woods.
My point is, stating 61 pounds of drugs when most if not all of it is a plant known for being relatively mild is being a bit over the top. Cocaine trafficking is a different thing, but I still think users are the problem, not people who make money off it. Pharmaceutical companies are no better and the side effects can be just as bad.
Tony made a huge mistake. If he had any brains, he would of just paid 150 bucks for a medical marijuana card, set up a grow room, and sold it to clubs if he wanted to be part of that scene. He's going to pay a big price for fukking up, I think rubbing it in his face a little bit at this point does no good and seems mean spirited.
He's a dumbass, not some child molester. I still think if he somehow gets off the charges, he won't have to much problem finding backers that still believe in him and his game.
