Who would your list to be as the top 10 1P players today?

Efren Reyes

I agree with most of the names listed so far. Let's all remember that Tony Chohan is still alive.:D

this is a good list.
i would put tony cohan on there.
he might be the best.
 
Earl claims to play 1 pocket great. However, I never seen him play 1 pocket- is he legitimately top 10?
 
There is NO WAY John Schmidt should not be on some of these lists. JMO.

He is certainly capable of beating all of these players on any given day.

Good call but who would you pull off one of the lists? I'll substitute John with Corey just to start an argument. :D

1st efren.2ndfrost.3rd alex.4th jones.5th svb.6th shannon d.7th gentile.8th sylver.9th shannon d.10th cliff j.this is a very tough thing to do,seperate all this great players and too rank them,no one will ever get this list correct!
 
Agreed that John Schmidt and Earl Strickland would not look out of place on any top 10 list, but recent form suggests that Cliff Joyner isn't top ten anymore.

I don't know about Chip being a top 10. I'd really like to see Chip and Brandon Shuff play. I'd also like to see Sylver Ochoa and Joey Gray play. I think Joey needs a ball (8 to 7).

A little off the original topic, but I think we need to be promoting these young players. This may be some of the next generation of Mosconi Cup team members.

I wish TAR or Big Truck would set up some matches with these young players.

I hate to dis anyone, but he is definitely stronger than Gentile, Joyner, Rafael, Jeremy, and Sylver (and probably Gabe in my opinion, but most would not agree); probably a slight underdog against the rest, but easily capable of running over any of them on a given day.

I would put Corey is top 10 for sure. Maybe top 5. He's so creative and I beleive he learned from the fusco's like eftrn. Not sure about Schmidt though. He might be 11th.
