Top 10 1P players today

not going to read the other posts until I make my list....

Efren
Alex P
Scott F
T Chohan
Corey D
Gabe O
Shannon D
J J
J Schmidt
SVB

there are a few others that can make the list (and some would fall off), but I think these 10 wouldn't need a spot from anyone NOT on the list....so there you go

Generally in order:

Efren Reyes
Alex Pagulayan
Scott Frost
Gabe Owen
Shannon Daulton
SVB
Cliff Joyner
Tony Chohan
Jeremy Jones
Corey Deuel

In alphabetical order, my top ten are:

Shannon Daulton
Corey Deuel
Scott Frost
Chris Genteel
Jeremy Jones
Sylver Ochoa
Gabe Owen
Alex Pagulayan
Efren Reyes
Shane Van Boening

I like this list as well. I would have to put the following on there:

Tony Chohan
John Schmidt
Danny Harriman

I guess I have a top 13. I can't put Schmidt without putting Harriman since they have broke even playing nearly 40 games in the past few years.

Rafael Martinez Chavez would be included
on My list and probably should be on all
One Pocket Top Ten lists.
Just ask John Henderson, if you don't agree.

Scott Frost
Corey Duel
SVB
Efren
Alex P
Earl
Sylver Ochoa
Cliff Joyner
John Henderson
Brandon Shuff

In no order...thats just my two cents

Brandon is my boy & a future champion fa sure...But I wouldn't put him top 10 just yet...He's got a shooters chance in small races cuz he shoots so darn str8...lol...but he still needs a lil mo seasoning IMO

Yeah, the extremely talented Brandon Shuff is definitely one to watch.

Sylver Ochoa joined the ranks of the truly elite one pocket players when he lost double hill in the final at Derby City against Frost in 2010. He also came second in the Derby City one pocket event in 2008.

Chris Gentile joined the ranks of the truly elite when he finished 2nd in the 2011 US Open one pocket event last month, in which he beat Pagulayan, Strickland and Rafael Martinez, losing to Efren Reyes only in both the hot seat match and the final.

No reason to think Brandon Shuff won't join the ranks of the truly elite with a similar performance at some point, but for now he's just a great prospect, not yet a superstar of one pocket.

Gentile plays great one pocket but I think he is still two balls under Efren and Alex, a ball under 6 or 7 guys. No disrespect intended, just from what I've seen. He may be top 15, but top 10 is a tough spot. Perhaps I have not seen enough.

Gentile?

As much as I like the way Chris G. plays, one stellar performance in a tournment does not put you in the top ten in the world at something.

I would put him in my top 20 list though, along with Brandon, Joey G. Chip C., and one or two Euro players, Jose P. Rafael, Earl, etc. These guys all play great, but if these guys go against the top 10 list (Disco's) in an ahead set, they're more than likely going to end up on the short end of the stick.

JMHO.

Any decent Top 10 1Pocket Player List should have 15 players on it minimum.

Freddie <~~~ not on the list

where does richie rich rank?

This starts to get hard after the top 5. A lot of people are very close. You start ranking people based on who you would bet on but a lot of people would be a coin flip with a lot of other people. I personally think Richie would be in the top 30 or so, but there are so many that might be a tie for 20th, ya know what I mean? Its like in a tournament, if you got 17th-24th... did you get 17th or 24th? 17th sounds better when you tell your friends.

Let me know when they playing so I can get some more bartybucks!

I think Disco made a great list:
Frost
Corey
Gabe
Cliff
Tony C
Shannon
Efren
Shane VB
Jeremy Jones
Alex

But 11-20 (in my opinion) should be this group in no order.

Silver Ochoa
John Schmidt
Danny Harriman
Chris Gentile
Brandon Shuff
Allan Hopkins
Jose Parica
Larry Nevel
Raph Martinez
Earl Strickland

honorable mentions:
Ronnie Wiesman
Richie Rich
Danny Smith
Chris Bartram
Mika Immonen
Eddie Aberham

I may have forgot some people or have no idea what I'm talking about.
