Hi everyone,

As many of you know, I purchased Richie Florence`s ivory handle Ginacue in December. This was a monster player used by Richie at the time of some of his greatest wins over almost every big time player of the day.

I asked Ernie Gutierrez to refinish the cue, and he graciously accepted. It took some work by Ernie but the cue looks great, and I wanted to share the update on AZ.

Thanks for looking.

Take care,

Will Prout

One of a Kind Ginacue Logo

Hi Ross,

Good to hear from you!

I believe this is the only Ginacue ever done with this particular logo. He told me how difficult it was to do (by hand obviously), hence we sure wanted to keep it as the cue was refinished and restored!

Take care,

Will:)

Ralf,

Thanks for the nice comments.

I trust all is well with you.

Hi Berny,

Thanks for the nice comments! I tried to rep you, but must spread some around first.

Take care,

Will

WOW, great looking cue. Thos are a couple of the best looking shafts that I have seen on any cue. I bet they play great.

Very, very classy and understated cue, Will. Great history and Ernie has done a sterling job of the refurbishment. Congrats. Is the handle one piece??? Wow!

For as simple as this design is, that has to be one of the prettiest cues I have seen.
Just a beauty.

What exactly is on the lathe in the last picture?
I am guessing the joint rings...

Very stylish cue! When they do a ivoryhandle I guess that they have to have a "big"/wide core in them to make them good players and to reduce the weight - right?
I´m from Sweden so the right words doesn`t always appear:). Do you have a picture were you see the grains on the Ivory - must be gorgeous to see It "live"! I want one:-)!!

By the way, do anyone know If Ernie has a website? I saw a thread about a Gina catalouge and when I sometimes have a hard time to understand you guys then chinese signs are way worse:-). I would like to see some more and know what his cues cost, maybe I can afford a sneaky one sometime....

It's been said, but wowwwww. That turned out gorgeous.

Beautiful cue, great history, brought back to life by by the master who originally built it, and now owned by someone who truly appreciates it.

How can it get any better?

Scott

Hey Will,
Wow, it turned out soooooooo nice. I am happy for you. What a piece of history. I hope to get to see the cue in person one day.

Enjoy it (I know you will) :) :)

Take care and keep in touch,
Jimmy

PS: Ernie is in the final stages of my new cue, so I am getting "pretty" anxious.

Hello Will,

I mean like what can I say about that Ernie.......that cue is like most excellent.

What is the balance like on the cue?

Scott

I'd like to see the before and after pictures.

Nice, very nice.

Take this the right way, there are a few cues that need to be put in Hall of Fame with pics of players somewhere and somehow.
