This is long, but I gotta get what I can remember out:

So I've been home from Las Vegas for 3 days now, I still don't feel normal. My sleeping schedule is all messed up, I've kinda got a drinking problem now and Im just now trying to remember everything and everyone.

First and for-most, I spent a majority of my time with JCIN with The Action Report. I was helping with the US Open 10ball production. Graphics, switching cameras, commentating, and just whatever needed done. Justin took me to some cool places, eat some great foot and we both lost about 7 lbs from laughing. It was a pleasure to spend my time in Vegas with such a cool dude.

I left my apartment Friday at 2am for the airport and showed up in Las Vegas at noon. Ready to rock. I hopped in my rental car and my first stop was the giant western ware store. Just felt the need to grab a cowboy shirt. Its awesome! From there I grabbed my 200lbs of Spot Clothing shirts I shipped to myself and headed to the Riv.

Rolling down Las Vegas BLVD for the first time was simply amazing. I live in NYC and see a lot of buildings and lights... but I've never seen anything like this. Its as if Las Vegas was built for ME. Gambling, drinking and beautiful women... a dream come true!

I rolled into the Riv, got the room, setup the booth and couldnt wait to close up shop. The first night, I took a shower and went straight to the blackjack table. Never played before and lucky for me, everyone at the table helps. I started with $50 and was quickly up $500... I quit, got drunk and just walked around. Next thing I know, its 6am. I gotta be at the both at 10am and I gotta get the rental car back by noon. So I go to bed, wake up at 7:45am, take the car back and walk straight to my room for a shower. Only one problem, the casino tables are on the way... OK, one roll of roulette. I put my newly found black $100 chips down, ask for $25 chips and devide $200 over red and a row. BAM they both hit... $500 just turned into $975 in less than 1 min. I walk away.

So day 2, Im a crazy high from straight up robbing the casino. I got less than 2 hours sleep and tons of drinks and I feel like a million bucks. So I go to the booth and work. I shared a large booth with Diamond Tables, so we had a table to play on. Myself and Paul Smith of Diamond played around and I managed to win some money on some cheap games and a few cheap sets. I cannot play pool for the life of me, but my lucky streak was just rolling. I rolled over to some booth that had a break speed contest. I killed it. Won the slowest breakspeed, cloestest to 20 MPG (hit 20.00 on the dot) and also the most balls on the break. My lucky streak was rolling so good. This town was about to get rocked.

After working the Spot Clothing booth again, I went back to the blackjack table. My $975 quickly became $1800. WOW, this is simply amazing. Free money! I got up and walked away... straight to the bar. Well, if the free drinks didnt get me, the paid drinks did. I wondered back to the blackjack table fully ready to own The Riviera by morning. 4 hands later, my 18 black chips were gone. Hit 20 four times in a row... and lost, 4 times in a row. I got a steak dinner out of it... thanks!

Well, Im done with the casino for a little while. In all honesty, I wasnt even mad. It was a fun time and it was their money. I was just giving it back. I didn't go there to win $1800, I went to have a good time. That 1800 would have been great at the Rhino... but whatever, I laughed that $1800 off and went back to the bar. Didn't phase me.

Day 3, back to playing pool for money and somehow coming out on top. I still had 2-3 hours of sleep, but whatever. I felt great. The rest of the day was a blur at this moment but I believe I ended up at The Win with JCIN and the gang to meet up with Watchez and 1on1pooltournies. Beautiful women in all directions. Simply amazing. From there, we went to Pool Sharks to watch some of the OMGWTF vs. Borana game. Actually, this might have been day 2, it really is a blur. damn... but whatever, we stayed til like 5am or so, went back to the hotel, got breakfast and then crashed.

The rest of the time, I couldn't tell you what day it was... was there for 11 days. But here are some random great times I had.

Went to Texas de Brazil with JCIN, Raphael, Eric. & wife, Pool Monkey & Brooklyn Jay, Caroline & Rob Pole and Eric Crist. Possibly a few others. For the 1st time, I was sober. I ate about 45lbs of every kind of meat possible... and since we were the last people there... it actually could have been EVERY kind of meat possible.

The next night... maybe? We posted up at the Riv bar for another night of crazy drinking. Was myself, JCIN, Tina Pawloski, Tina Pawloski's knee, a guy that randomly looked like Hugh Grant, Mika (fitness buff) Immonen, and whoever Mika was hitting on. Well, Justin tried to get me some pushup action with Mika, saying "I bet this fat m***** F***** can do at least half as many pushups as you... mater fact, I bet he can do half as many CLAP pushups as you." It all started with Justin saying Mika has fallen off the fitness wagon and he didnt have faith in me, just felt Mika was too out of shape. Well, naturally, Mika thought he was stealing but he still slept on it.

The next day, Mika, Frankie Hernandez, Rodney Morris, ect were at the bar. I walked up to a group of people next to them and tried to lay low. Didn't last long. Mika and his gang KNEW they were stealing but wouldnt bet high. So it was on. I had to do HALF of whatever Mika could do. Mika went first, busted out 22 clap pushups. I acted nervous, but wasnt. Got down all slow and fat like... rocked out 13. Got the cash. Mika was not happy, though oddly a lot happier than Frankie "wanna fight the world" Hernandez. I bought them drinks with my earnings and things were cool... though Mika wanted a chance to win his money back.

Two day later, Mika is playing Roberto Gomez on the TAR table. Its hill-hill, Gomez DOGS a 10 ball that my grandmother would have made. Everyone is in shock. Mika gets up and pockets the ball, wins the set. JCIN sends me out to interview Mika. WOW. This is gonna be good. First think he's says is, "what's your name again?" doing the Mika bobble head as if he's actually listening. Well, in the interview, I asked him if the prettier person won... kinda payback. It was great. So I asked him on the air if we can still do pushups again, he says yes, we meet at the bar about an hour later.

At the bar, Mika's friends are all gone. I ask him to bump the bet about 10x the original amount. I mean, why not??? Im just a fat guy, right? Well, we double the bet... sadly, and we go off to do it again. This time, I have to go first. Big disadvantage. Well, last time, I cranked out 13.. this time, 19. Now, he knew he was in trouble. He got down and busted out 33. Thats 11 more than the first time, but he just couldn't get past the double thing. He quickly figured out he has been hustled and it was all good. I got the money, got him and his friends more drinks and all was good.

This was actually the highlight of my trip.

Other than all that, I don't remember much. I met a lot of good people. OMGWTF, Tina Pawloski, Ashly Nandrasy, AKA Trigger, Silver Ochoa, Megan Fort, Watchez, 1on1pooltournies, Eric Cristp, HKWONG, Amanda Lapert, countless tiny asians that are always with Justin, Eric and Dave from Runout Media, a hooker at Hard Rock, Allen Hopkins, ect. Man, the list goes on.

Sorry, I just had to get all that out on paper, and why not on here...? Actually, OMGWTF was making fun of people for doing EXACTLY this, but whatever, I did it!

Now if I could just get back to a regular sleeping habit, stop drinking and eating like an idiot, I would be back to normal. But for now, I guess Im just Big Tony!

So, did you drink while you were there? Sounds like a pretty good time.

You've got the fever

I moved out of Vegas fifteen years ago and still have'nt gotten over it.

Vegas is sensory overload. All the bells, chimes, lights, music, people etc. I can take it in small doses, but I'm never upset about having to go home when it's time.

Vegas is not a vacation. At least not the relaxing kind. But man is it fun. :grin-square:

Usually I'm not very interested in witty repartee that's not pool related, but I believe it was you and JCIN who had this great exchange on what it was like to live in Brooklyn.Soo funny!I may be a convert to another way of looking at what's presented.

Glad to see I had an honorable mention. Oh wait....no such luck. :p

Anyway, next year we need to step it up and get out of the hotel more. I'm still in disbelief that I worked the whole trip and never had any fun. I blame Justin. lol

That was awesome, totally awesome.

Do I know you? :yikes:

Great write up Big Tony.

I have to say that Cleary is probably the funniest human being I have ever had the pleasure to hang out with. Dude had me laughing so hard so often that I was actually hurting for a couple of days.

The guy is also a true pro at what he does and I learned a lot from him.

Forget all of the glitzy Vegas marketing hype. This my friends is what real Vegas looks like:

Stay in shape big guy. I think I got SVB on the hook for a decathlon.

> The video of you beating Mika was truly priceless . I especially liked the scene where you started slow-pulling your warm-up routine.

It reminded me of that scene in Rounders where Mike keeps rewinding the '88 World Series where Chan has a Q-high straight but slow-pulls it to make Seidel think he's struggling to make a decision.

The best part were the last 3-4 pushups, where you push the Earth down,LOL .

Funniest thing TAR has ever done other than the Rogan episode. He GOTTA Youtube that! Tommy D.

I'm not sure why she was making fun of it since she does the same thing with her blog. I enjoy her blog and these posts. They're fun to read for those of us that are familiar with the scene and the people but can't be there for whatever reason.

The folks you were hanging out with are good people that know how to have a good time. You couldn't ask for a better group to experience Vegas with. Personally I'm getting too old for that stuff but not too old to forget how much fun it was (or how much it hurts afterwards, lol). ;)

HAHAHA this picture is so amazing. A true athlete.

This picture was taken during the finals of the US Open 10ball. The set took about 4 hours and we needed to step in the hallway and have a drink.

After a long week, we decided the move would be to pile all of the computers, cameras and wires into a pile and pour water then gasoline (in that order for some reason) then burn everything down. When I said, "clean up in the Royal Room", JCIN was taking a drink of beer and somehow it made him laugh so hard he spit his beer 10-12 feet straight into my face. Truly remarkable and possibly some sort of record. JCIN then was choking on the beer that was halfway down while laughing... and not breathing. Then the rest of the beer and a little bit of dinner ended up on the hallway floor.

WOW, such a great time.

That was her point, why post your experience on AZ in a blog type format, just start a blog.

But I kinda did this just so she would make fun of me :)

Sorry I couldn't win ya a flight home OMG, I tried. Hope you got home safe on the bus.

HAHAHA, nathan dumoulin actually has the footage from Round 2 which Im sure is even better. Not only did we both do much more, with more of the build up (hopefully including mika slapping me in the face) and the barking but its all in HD. Cant wait to get my hands on that.

Yea, it was great. I took me like 3 minutes to actually get down on the ground. All the stretching and stalling was all in the plans. After it was over, they kinda complained about my form, which was perfect. They thought 13 was everything I had. :)
