Danny has recently returned from an eighteen month "vacation", courtesy of the state of Colorado. He is fit and frisky after losing sixty pounds, and hot to play some pool. For all you AZ'ers in the area, look out for a new slimmer version of the mighty Medina! He ruled Colorado for 25 years, so who is to say he won't rule again.

Jay, wasn't it Danny that got mugged in Vegas a while back? I thought I read that he got hit in the face with a hammer. Glad to hear that he's free and able to get back to pool. And, if it was him that got mugged like that, good to hear that he can return to pool.

Yeah that was about four years ago. It was this incident and the pain medication he had to take after wards that led to his subsequent problems.

Gosh, getting hit in the face with a hammer, I just can't imagine! Poor guy! Lucky he didn't lose an eye or worse! Glad to hear he seems to be doing better. I've watched him play and he was very good, and fun to watch.

Good for Danny. I watched him shooting diagonally corner to corner shots once and never saw him miss, what I was impressed with was he was practicing on a snooker table:cool:

I remember seeing hime 2 years ago.........

It was back in the summer or fall of 2009 I saw Danny at Table steaks.

I was there on my teaching trip for about a month.

He sure looked rough back then. It sounds like whatever happened might have saved his life. State of Colorado might have been huge in helping.

I wish i was out there to say hi to Danny. He was always a nice guy and he sure could shoot years back .

I wish him the best of luck.

Will he be able to attend the bar table championships in Reno this year? Or is he restricted to playing in Colorado for the time being?

Jay, will he be at the Open, do you think, or is he restricted to Co. for a while?

Don't know how long or what the conditions of his parole/probation is, but the last I knew he still wasn't allowed to be anywhere that alchohol is sold, so he's been hittin' em at a senior center and working really hard on his game from what I've heard. Look forward to seeing him play well. I met him and played some with him right the tail end of his recent problems, and it was sad to see how much 'game' somebody can lose or have taken away from as a result of 'issues.'

Let's not lose our perspective. A innocent person lost their life because someone couldn't refrain from driving while drinking.

Nevertheless, I do welcome a rehabilitated Danny back to the pool scene.

NO ONE died as a result of his accident! Please don't start rumors about something you're unfamiliar with.

Maybe he would like to bring his THUNDERBOLT BREAK to White diamonds in Lafayette, LA on October 8-9 for some of that $50,000.00 calcutta money. hmmmmmmmm. I can still remember the crack of his nine ball break at the Sport Palace of New Orleans, when he quieted a rather loud and bragging fellow. :p

We really need an emoticom that races across the screen only to smash into a unforseen force and disintegrate.

Several years ago...

Several years ago he was the one who knocked me out of the qualifier for the CSI tenball open at Danny K's....

I lose to Ramin in the winner's and then Danny in the losers... go figure, two of the better players in California at the time...

I did have several wins interspersed through the losses though...

Sixty pounds. Wow. He ought to be pretty fit. Last time I saw him was at a tournament in Western Kansas back in '03. Was struggling then but still a gentleman. I wish him the best and hope he can hit the ground running.

wish him well!

I wish Danny well. He was responsible for the most fun evening of pool I ever had, and that is saying a bunch! As for his issues in life, few of us are so perfect that we have any business casting stones.

Ain't that the truth, Hu! Let's not forget to take a look at our elected representatives. :embarrassed2:

We got a guy in D.C. that was convicted for crack cocaine and misuse of authority, and he's still in office in another capacity, thanks to those who elected him back in.

Well c'mon, JAM. Tell the whole story...surely he (and his son) must've been in the news since then?!?!

It's unbelievable.

Then there's that President who didn't inhale, the Member of Congress who shared pics of his family jewel with others, the male Senator who passed love notes in bathroom stalls to other males, and this is just the tip of the ice berg. :p
