Where's Glen Hancock (Therealkingcobra)?!?

it all comes from people willing to pay for services in advance. you pay after you receive the work and its done properly.
the old adage of " if you want a bad job pay in advance" holds true in most cases.

glen is not a cheat. if no one paid in advance he would be getting the work done on time as with most of the stick makers that have screwed over so many on here.

It's really not that simple.

He has had people's rails for an eternity who didn't give him a penny upfront.

If you want Glen to do you a good job you get in line and if and when he shows up you immediately put his truck keys in your gun safe.

Then it all goes great.

But even then there is no guarantee he will be done before midnight on Christmas Eve. He doesn't leave until it's perfect.:thumbup2:

The two happiest moments of your life are when he arrives and when he leaves.

Love you Glen Buddy!

glen is not a cheat.

Not sure if I agree as this lingers. With as much brashness and bravado as he has shown here dealing with people, I am surprised he won't face us. In all honesty, I am disappointed in him. Behind his gruff exterior, I saw a man who took pride in his work.

Same here. I'm still in shock that Glenn has not confronted all of this. It would be very hard to believe that he has not read this thread.

As for his work, IMO it has always spoke for itself. As everyone knows, Glenn is extremely talented.

In the end, just like a backer, we always want the most talented player....but, we also want to have the most dependable player playing on our money.

None of us would be comfortable backing a player that has an insane high gear BUT may fall apart due to having a fragile state of mind when they get bad rolls etc...etc.. because regardless of how strong a player is when in stroke, it's how they handle things when the rolls are going for their opponent that says just how strong they truly are.

We all want the BEST and the most DEPENDABLE. Like with most trades, there is trade off between the two.

Im by no means trying to drum business.... I'm busy enough.

For the record, unless your business is stealing cash and personal property, I think you're good. Good on you for this gesture. Good to know or your work load also, I am local and need to start on my Anniversary, I should probably get in the que (pun intended).

If I lived in the greater Illinois area, the only person who would ever work on my tables would be Jerimy. The world is full of wannabees. Jerimy is the real thing.

Someone should start a poll on whether Glen is a cheat, liar, thief, piece of chit et cetera.
I might wager that it would be 50/50, then again I might not take that bet.

I considered hiring Glen when I had my GC1 rails re calibrated. But after reading posts on here (none of them as extreme as this thread) I hired someone else. I came down to how he treated people on here in general and how he resolved issues he created by his business practices.

The person that I hired itemized everything we discussed on a repair order. He required a deposit up front, which he gave me a receipt for. Later that day I decided I wanted a different size pocket opening. So I called him and discussed the changes. He agreed to the charges. I told him I would send an Email with the new dimensions and reference the repair order number.

He completed the work in the time frame he Quoted and did an outstanding job!

This is what I would consider a typical business transaction. No confusion and drama!

Think about what you just said. You are suggesting than an honest person who is advanced payment for his service is made dishonest by a person who prepaid him. Ludicrous. The person acting dishonestly was always dishonest, and the person paying in advance was foolish and only made it easier for him to be dishonest.

Are you also suggesting that everyone, including yourself, would keep a prepayment without doing the job? I hope not.

My simple message to Glen is "your word is your bond" and without your word you have nothing! A man is only as good as his word!

Glen, you can come on here with some crazy story about the trauma you've been through but nobody cares to hear it anymore. You can also tell us that it really doesn't matter because you have so much work waiting for you. It does matter! You are making yourself persona-non-grata in the pool world if that is what you want. At this point in time all your stories about changing the pool world with your riches from glue sales means absolutely nothing! No one in their right mind would ever believe anything you say after this latest fiasco.

To be blunt Glen, you're a fake and a sham. I was once in your corner but now I want nothing to do with you. There is no excuse (although I'm sure you'll come up with something) for how you treated this man. I don't like liars and cheats no matter how talented you are. Your skills as a pool table mechanic mean nothing anymore! :shakehead:

but...but...but... hes the absolute best. so he has to be forgiven no matter what!!!

ya.... tired of that BS as well. He is a hypocrite. He comes on here bashing and arguing with all other mechanics when he himself is out there fuqing people over. Seen it first hand on my own table.

Isn't it surprising that one or two of his altar boys who communicate with him on a regular basis haven't been good enough to tell the OP where their hero is?

This is the best post I’ve seen summarizing his behavior from an unbiased perspective. It’s easy for me to have a stance given the history between Glen and I, but Jay nailed it.

Idaho, I agree 100 percent. I'm only connected by phone right now or I'd send Jay a greenie. You too.

So, does anyone know where Glen is at, who made the Jackpots and if the 626 is legit?
This will slow Glen down exactly as much as the Jackpot affair slowed down Dean...which is to say not at all.

It will bounce off like facts off Danny H.

How much blue glue could a stiff-artist sniff if a stiff-artist sniffed blue glue?? Apologies to all wood chucks in the audience. ;)
