I don't know if this has been done here or in the Blue Book, but let's list the cuemakers who have spent substantial time working with the prestigious makers. For example, James White worked with Paul Mottey, and Bob Frey worked with Tim Scruggs. Please list the relationship (e.g. employee for x years, cuebuilding workshop student, etc). Just thought it would be interesting to document a cuemaker lineage.

Gus Szamboti made about 300 blanks for George Balabuska between 1971 and 1975, the year Mr Balabuska died. After that he began making blanks for Palmer.

Bill McDaniel and Tim's relationship has been kept secret for a long time. I have never heard it the way you tell it though

Don't forget, Tim Scruggs worked for Dan Janes at Joss cues for approximately a decade before going off by himself.

The cuemaker tree is about to make me sick. I would ask that nobody start quoting it.

Let me clear this up. Bill NEVER worked under Tim in either Tim's or Bill's shop. They were partners in an LLC only. This is also documented in the first Blue Book of cues.
