The black shows more contrast, while the lizard blends better with the wood...
Personally, I'd go with the black to bring out the color of the wood best....

This is kind of funny. One person says lizard and the next says black. To be honest, I don't think you could go wrong any of those choices. The black provides great contrast, while the browns both compliment the wood. I'd probably go with the black, but I feel your indecision because I really the other two as well.

It might be an easier call if the whole butt was in the picture. Not being able to see the forearm makes it more difficult; IMO..

I really like the way the lizard compliments the colors in the cue in this small sampling, but what would tell the tale for me is whether it would draw attention to itself when the whole piece was installed. If it did, I'd prefer the black. My opinion, the last thing a wrap should do is draw eyes away from the cue itself. You're not a great cue maker because of the wrap you install.
