This post has probably been done several times but the face of AZ and the people who post here at AZ often change with it ... So I'm asking who are your favorite posters here and why ?

Smorgie - for obvious reasons is one of mine ... He is funny though his humor is sometimes off the wall... He is well respected and a good guy in general and you can't help but to feel for him with his recent health issues or his holiday blues ... And it don't hurt that he is setting at the top of the reputation leader board ...lol....

Iowa Player - His posts are always honest and sincere and he is a great person... I actually got to know him becuase of a deal that went bad ... Though it was nothing I was selling nor anything I had or owned I got in the middle of the deal somehow when asked my opinion... The deal did not go off as planned and I ended up going to the other party to make sure Iowa got back what was his and both sides wprked everything out ... I'm sure it would of happened the same way without me being involved but it all worked for the best I guess ... Since then Iowa and I have always got along great ... And he is one of my favs on here ...

Jam - I just like some of the articles that she brings to the forum ... I love her stories on Kieth though she is a little biased ...lol... And for good reason I may add... Jam's writting style and sincerity are why she is one of my favorites on here.

Terry A. - He is a great guy who still loves his wife...lol... He has always been kind and respectful to me even when I came on here as a newbie ... He promised me some Nick Varner stories that I have yet to see and look forward to seeing when he gets the time ... But Terry A... Is one of those posters that make AZ the great place it is ...

Corvette - I like Corvette for his on the edge writting style ... He is not afraid to put his opinions out there good or bad ... Of course living in this great state of Georgia that almost comes natural ... When you open one of Corvette's posts you never know what your gonna get and that helps to keep AZ a very fun place to be ...

Fatboy - He catches alot of flack be it for his spelling or his infamous wealth ... But he takes it all in stride and continues any harsh feelings he is also able to take a joke well... He also posts some very good information though at times you have to decipher the code ... He is sincere in his ambitions to help and promote the game we all love ... And for those of us that love the game that is something we all love to see ...

Jay Helfert ... Another poster much like in the mode of Terry A. honest and sincere and a wealth of knowledge ... Always willing to help out in fact when I got my table here at the house he set me up with a nice rack and some centinnials that I use every day ... Thanks Jay ...

Joey A. - A well respected member here ... His posts do not come often enough but when they do they are worth reading ... When you get a complment from him you know you have earned it ... AZ needs alot more like Joey A.

Pinocchio - This guy has been great to me ... Again he calls them as he sees them and I am glad that he has befriended me .... He is one I look forward to here on AZ ...

Milo- is another I seldom see her post often enough but enjoy reading when she does Love to follow her pool playing adventures also ... A great member of AZ ...

Spiderwebbcomm - for all his great posts and great information ....

Fast Lenny - For OTR ... And his good posting ...

Rossaroni - This poster has been a great help to me since being here at AZ... Be it via posting or wanted for sale always been excellent to me ...

Big Truck - For his posting and kind heart ...

I know I have missed many and will mostly likly come back in to add more but these are the ones right off the top of my head ... But hwat and who are you most favorite posters .... And why ???

I like that BFDLAD. He is intelligent, funny and a very handsome man :)

Fatboy, he tries to do good for pool.
JayHelfert, He has done alot for pool over the years and continues to do so.
TonyC, just a great guy for a sheep shagger.

Man there are so many now I think of it. I can't go through them all.
 
oops missed travis Trotter. He gave me my only red rep for wishing him happy birthday. I just can't figure that guy out.
 
Jay Helfert --- for his knowledge of pool players past and present, pool politics past and present and pool history

Terry Ardeno --- for his unmatched sense and appreciation of pool history and nostalgia, for his on-the-fly encapsualtions of the accomplishments of players past, and for the general sincerity of his communications

Williebetmore --- for insightful, well-written posts on many subjects, but especially those recounting gatherings with pros and other AZBers in the Betmore basement, one of AZB's unofficial shrines

Roy Steffensen --- for keeping me advised on what's going om in European pool and for sharing European perspectives on American pool.

Dozens of other AZBers get very high marks from me. This forum is teeming with great posters, all of whom I appreciate very much.

For me, I appreciate everyone who posts on here. I really do. Oh sure, there's a few who say some strange things from time to time, but so do I. :wink:

Actually everyone has something valuable to add from time to time, and they seem to chip in at just the right time. Even the ones who are controversial I appreciate because they get the debates started.

Then there are guys like me who seem to have an opinion on everything. I know you'd probably like to shut me up sometime, so I'm lucky to be here behind a keyboard. :cool:
 
Far to many to mention. There are a lot of guys on here with a lot of knowage and stories, and there gracious enough to share them with us all. There are also quite a few who seriously make me LOL.
 
jay helfert and fatboy for what they try to do for pool

Terry A - more than anything because he is always genuine. To get rep from Terry is to know you made your point.

Freddy, Billy, Archie, Grady, ironman, Mr. Harcrowe and SJD - wealth of knowledge and stories

Drawman, runout, and tikkler - all are nice with great collections and always helpful ... usually very giving

corvette - is funny and I can usually count on him for action as long as we don't like the same side

bigskyjake - I think he is the funniest poster here, as long as he is unstuck from his gf's backside

JoeyA, manwon, Deadpoked, Smorg and many others that are both humorous, enjoyable, and enlightening.

Personal friends gpeezy, merkyone, and Doug Patrick.

Sorry if I left anyone out which certainly I did.

Honorable mention: me ... someone has to get the action going

This is tough.

I think Smorass Bored is my favorite, because he makes me laugh and I relate to some of his health issues.

Scaramouche has a lot of funny stuff, too.

I used to love Fast Lenny's signature pics... especially the fat guy who knocks the table over with his belly. I like what he has to say, too. But, I got to know who he was through those signature .gifs of his.

Billiardshot, Cocobolo Cowboy, Sev, Purdman, Fat Boy, Iowa Player... and way too many more to mention. I love this place. Just a bunch of great folks trying to have a good time. Some of you guys really crack me up. It's that kind of light-hearted fun that gets me through a tough day, sometimes. Never lose the joy!

Now, if someone asked me who is my favorite cuemaker on here - other than Crown Cues - (by personality) I'd have to say Jack Madden. I don't usually look for who does or doesn't get involved in all the slinging competitions, but I don't usually see Jack in there and he's a very helpful, cheerful kind of guy. I enjoy reading his posts, when I see them. There are others, but I think he really stands out, in my opinion.

I like everyone on the forum -I may disagree at times with some but that what makes for an interesting forum -there is something for just about everyone.
 
Wow I knew there were several on here I forgot like ...

The Great Manwon ... When I first got here I use to like to read his reviews , then he always seemed to know his stuff on his cue sitcks ... Then we locked horns and argued over something silly ... niether of us would budge on our position and out of it grew a mutual respect for each other ... He also seems to have a great set up in the Tacoma area I beleive I have read some great reviews on his pool room. Never been there but would love to go ... I remember in the late 70's I was stationed in Portland Oregan on Swan Island , My ship made many visits to the Seattle area and I have been through the Tacoma area often at that time ... Very pretty country up there in the North West , One of the coldest winters I ever saw it was so bad the trees actually froze and several of them bent over to the ground ...

Of course Freddy the Beard at some time I'm going to have to break down and buy some of his material on Banking ...

Tikkler and his great cue collection ...

Alton and his great cue caps ....

Dave Albrecht and his cues and caps ...

Doug Patrick and his cues and just kindness in general ...

Eason Cues or Hawk OU812 ... Just for being a friend ...And who I have started working with to learn about cue making with several others offering thier help ...Like Doug Patrick ...This place is great...

Remy Grant a new poster but one of the best people you will ever meet and one of my pool playing buddies between Hawk and RemyGrant these are my two best friends ... RemyGrant hits the rock and controls it as well as anyone....

BFDLAND ... For bringing the Archer , Strickland tour to America and giving everyone a chance to meet these guys ... I so badly wanted to attend this event but when my plant closed down for two weeks I had to think of my family first and pm BFDLAND to let him know I would not be able to attend so he could fill my spot ... Good people here ...

John Barton - Who's posts I enjoy and who is buidling me a free case as the winner of the case give away ... It should be a looker when I it is done .... But also he does post some very interesting stuff and builds some great looking cases not to mention his kindness with the position he holds as a case maker , Not often you see someone in his position as generious as he is and willing to stand behind his product and promises ...

Bigskyjake , Cocobollo Cowboy , Purdman ,Dead poked , Drawman ...

Ribdoner aka Adam .... With just a one word post this guy cracks me up ...

Mike Howerton and Jerry Forsyth who do a great job bringing this site to us and alot of pool , stories , And pool stuff we would never see or have a chance to follow without those two ....

Brandywine ... You always here her talk about how great Mike is and all he does , But through her posts I think to myself not only is Mike lucky to have started a site like this .... But also to have a beautiful woman like Brandywine ... She is always kind and polite and answers all PM's and posts and is a amazing asset on this site that never takes any credit but gives it all to Mike and the others who help out ... I know at times when I'm trying to find something out or get some assistance and do not seem to be getting anywhere ... I shoot a pm to Brandywine and it gets done in a speedy manner she is awesome to say the least ...

Mr Wilson aka The Enforcer ... For the job he does on this site monitoring it and just to stay on his good side in case I ever cross over that line ..lol..

I have already named alot of posters and there are so many I missing this place is full of great people a great posters ... Man I know I am missing so many more...
 
manwon and fatboy are the first names that come to mind. there're a lot of people on here that post things in enjoy reading. the thing is i'm a face guy not a name guy
 
There are so many members on here with expert information that it is impossible for me to just pick a few. I don't believe I have ever asked a question on here that I didn't get the info I needed. Sometimes you have to wade through some idiot responses, but in the long run you'll get the right answer. We have all kinds on here. Members from many countries, serious people, some with humor that can help you through the day, and more and more new members each week. I consider myself very lucky to have this site for pool and friendships...thank you Mike H, and all the people that work behind the scenes at AZ. Johnnyt
