Who are the 'Old Schoolers' of AZ

That was Teacherman - we were putting Mike Janis to the test on his accountability of his 'added' tournaments. Mike didn't like the fact that we could do simple math and see all the money missing. Mike tried to call a competing pool room in our area to 'offer' one of his tournaments. He posted one story of his 'offer' but unfortunately for his case, I was best friends with the manager of the competing pool room and knew the real story. The tournament never happened. Mike didn't like that as well.

I was banned - Teacherman was banned - I was allowed to enter back into AZ - Mike Janis was banned a few years later. :)

JAM - I used to get some good emails and even phone calls from Hemicudas. Not so much in recent time. Always wanted to meet him.

Koop - how could I forget you on my list -

Posting since 2005 I guess puts me on the list. I remember when the server would go down sometimes. I was so addicted that I kept hitting refresh to see if the page would finally load! Now I come on once every two weeks or so when I'm bored.

I kinda quit coming on so much when Drivermaker was banned, and Timberly quit. My signature still hints of how we'd all stick together. Koop and Ross, too.

Been posting on internet pool forums for at least 10 years?

Are remembered as good/interesting/quacky posters in the last 10 years

Played pool... matching up and/or in tournaments and were recognized by other posters.

TDs from big tournaments in the 80s/90s

Created pool forums

Could make posters cuss yell and scream for long periods of time
 
Any one know what happened to "sweet marissa"? She kept this form on its toes for a while. Haven't seen her post in quite a while.

Saw a post from Jimmy M this morning. Can it be Arizona's best has returned?

And let's not forget Queen Linda! I can't remember her forum name, but she was always so much fun and had a very kind spirit. I enjoyed her posts very much. :)

If I remember right, in the late 90's (1999 for me), we all mostly posted on the Billiards Digest CCB. It seemed like everyone started drifting over here in the early 2000's, IIRC.

I think 1999 is about right. The web-based forums had our migration from Ed Mercier's Playpool to the CCB, to AZBilliards. I know I switched over to AZ as my primary before most of our CCB brethren and sisteren.

You are Old School. I remember your old avatar pic of the New England Patriots being in place when they were still only a flag football team, albeit a good one, & still well before they became a dynasty!

Great memory for an old dude, Fred (ohagnir :wink: )

I stumbled onto Playpool after overhearing Robb Saez (RobbCT or RobbInCT) talk about it, then found it on a Lycos search. That forum took me to CCB, then AZB. CCB had much more going on than AZB, at the time.

I still have to use it on some accounts that seem to have no option other than first initial and last name. Apparently, the entire system that runs humanity will blow up. Someone's god is chuckling at my universe.
