Not a lot of travel time necessary....
Just an IMPORTANT NOTE: All players must stay at Harrah's Tunica for this event and the cutoff date for the very low hotel rate is on June 6, FOUR DAYS FROM TODAY.
what do you think you need to work on Cj? potting or moving the cue ball around the table?
My game's fundamentally sound, just need some steady competition, I haven't played anyone sense Scott Frost and Mike Frost in Vegas almost a year ago. The 10' Table takes a few days to adjust to because I have to hit every shot around 20% firmer than normal and that takes my stoke "out of balance" for 3 days.
I just need to compete against some top players for 3 days in a row to have a chance to actually win the tournament. This is "easier said than done," there's only one around Dallas to even practice with (for a few "chips") , and just a couple in Ft. Worth. The action in the 90s was really strong around here, it's amazing how it's died down, mostly from neglect I would venture to guess. It' just needs some "water, passion, and sunshine".
We're going to start doing some Free Seminars over there to help get some positive momentum started. Once I get another pool room opened I'll put together a plan to start a "pool trend" in the DFW again, and with the help of a few TV Events constant presence of top players, and lot's of commercials I'm pretty sure it will happen. It's only a matter of time.
I have no recollection
CJ I wanna see a bonus ball video from you...thorsten supposedly ran a 60 which after seeing those top players struggle I just can't see a lot of people being able to do that. See what you can do might be more challenging than those sick one pocket ghost runs.
Win Tunica!!!!
I think the "Mike" I played was from Kentucky if I remember correctly. I played ok after a few days in Vegas, but I was still had a "piece of the puzzle out of place".
My style is fairly ideal for Bonus Ball and running a game of it was relatively easy, I did that the first time I played it and the rules were tougher at that time. It's not as difficult as running all the balls in one pocket, or beating the 15 Ball Ghost.imho The toughest part of the game is remembering the orange ball is NOT the 5 Ball.![]()
When we were playing you had to make the last ball in one of your pockets as usual, then they changed it to "any pocket" on the last ball which made it too easy. imo I'm not sure what my high run could be, I think 43 or 46 is what I ran after playing it a couple of times, so 60 is certainly in range.
I've been busy and haven't had time to watch any of the BB matches, and I'm not even sure what the new rules are, I'd have to read them and see if they're different than a year ago when I was playing it.
Jesse Engel, Sylver Ochoa, Adam Smith.
I'm 80% right now, I'll know for sure by the end of this week and register. I want to play in the 10' Table one, just can't seem to find a table around this whole area of Texas.
Anyone know where a 10' Table is near Dallas/Ft. Worth? There's one snooker table I may have to use, but would prefer a pool table. I just heard the one I had in my pool room is going out of town this weekend to get fixed up by Mark G. That's too bad, I liked that one.
